What an excellent example of how useless an anti-government militia would be.

That's exactly what THEY want you to believe.

I thought Obamacare would let these people get the mental health services they so desperately need.  Looks like it's a failure.

They'd shoot each other if they weren't so busy tripping over each other to accuse the next guy over of being a government plant.

Their "Chief of Security" doesn't know basic trigger discipline.  These assclowns actually think they can fend off the FBI's HRT guys.

One person with a dark, chaotic personality could turn that place into a catastrophe. I hope somebody gets a recording of it when everything goes tits-up.

What a patriot patrolling the ranch might look like. Why the mask, obviously sane and serious guy?

i.kinja-img.com

Real reason I posted the pic is because I want the gun guys to identify that weapon for me. Is that a modified M-14 style rifle?

Haha!

The Feds knew all along you dumbass blowhards would devolve into an internal, paranoid, dick-swinging contest.

It's an M1A SOCOM (note, it is not actually used by the U.S. military's Special Operations Command), which is basically a Ninja'ed up semi-automatic M14.  I'm not sure what the point of putting a forward grip on a weapon with a rear pistol grip is, though.

That does seem rather non-ergonomic but I'd give it a try for sh*ts and giggles against a defenseless grapefruit or two.

I had a bit of an epiphany the other day. These guys are, at their core, no different from these guys.

Both take a reasonable tool, and modify it in the name of improved performance. Ironically, because both are too stupid to realize otherwise, they actually hamper performance of the tool rather than improve it.

Both masturbate to magazine pics of "really cool" modifications of their chosen tools.

Both imagine that they have much more skill with their modified tools than people who use similar tools professionally.

Both are compensating.

M-14s have great range... however that barrel looks pretty short for sniping.

Thank you. I kept rereading your post and reexamining the pic, going, "I'm not a gun guy, so I'm not going to ask, but I don't think I see a pistol grip there."

FTFA: Blaine Cooper - a de facto leader of the remaining militiamen

Heh - the Blaine Cooper link in TFA goes to his Facebook page.  Under 'Favorite Movies' he lists God Bless America.  LOL...holy miss the point.  I'm guessing he didn't make it any further in the movie past the title screen.  Bonus - there is one book listed...Everybody Poops.  I shiat you not.

Better barrel control?  The stock is up against the shoulder already and is controlled.  Instead of holding the barrel underneath, you're using an easier pistol grip.

I'm guessing.  *shrug*

Can we get one of these and just fly it over the place for a while? Then have it land at one of the factions camps, so the other guys think it's them.

You can buy a "drone" with an HD camera for $400 or so at Best Buy or Amazon. Fly that over them and put the footage on YouTube. Comedy gold.

Meh, OWS various goofy factions started to turn on each other too and it was just as entertaining.

Yes! Can someone start collecting for it, like for Biden's Trans-Am? Then start flying it over their ranch at night. I bet they explode in panic and start shooting everything.

I doubt it even needs to be sophisticated. an iPhone controlled quadrocopter would probably do the trick.

2014-05-01 12:46:51 PM
I would love to go there with one of those little radio controlled model plane thingees you used to be able to buy at Radio Shack before they became a cell phone and battery store, just to see what would happen.  Then again, I don't want to start a shooting war, so I'm not going to.  But I'd love to see what would happen nonetheless.

FTA- other armed patriots who stayed behind in Nevada, who now call the Oath Keepers and their prominent leader, Stewart Rhodes, cowards and traitors

Well it looks pretty accurate to me.

FTFA: For nearly a month, organized groups of militiamen as well as gun-toting "independents" have descended on Bunkerville, Nevada . . .

By using quotation marks there, apparently the writer of the article is familiar with the work of the FarkIndependentsTM and their ilk.

Yeah, but when one group is heavily armed with boom sticks and the other group uses nothing more lethal than the "talking sticks" that they pass around in their drum circles, the potential entertainment value is so much higher.

It's not like they would ever use Agent provocateurs to infiltrate then divide and conquer.

It looks like a tricked out Mini-14 with a bunch of useless junk on it...and a short barrel.  The A-Team used those. They couldn't hit shiat.

Looks cool though. How many times do you suppose that dude has been out in a pasture somewhere, walking slow, "picking up his visual scanning", when suddenly he drops to the ground, aims, and utterly destroys the top of a rocky outcrop. Thank God his bi-pod was deployed, ready to steady his aim and save his life.

Definitely, but up the ante.  Intentionally crash it but have a fake message in there for them to find to one of the militia tools from Obama.  Something like, 'good work, the attack will proceed as scheduled, be at the extraction point by 17:00 - BHO'

If somebody on here trolled these idiots into shiatting their pants over potential drone strikes, I owe you a beer.

I thought the Oath Keepers were those religious guys that promised to be better husbands and fathers or something like that. And why in the hell are there still people there? Still just standing out there waving their dicks at uncle Sam? Or are they just freeloaders with no jobs?
