Ok Sharks fans, that's horrendous. You had a worse night than us Isles fans.

/Rangers advanced
//Nino scored 2, including OT winner
///3 stars of Wild/Avs were all guys the Isles let go (Nino, Spurgeon, Parenteau)
//Doesn't come close to blowing a 3-0 lead
/4 minute double-minor for slashing

Seems like the sharks have jumped.

I know how they feel.

If they choked any harder last night, Cheryl from "Archer" would have shown up and asked if they could do her next.

Fark.

Chin up, Sharks fan. Last time an NHL team blew a 3-0 series lead they won the Cup the next season, so you're good, right?

PowerSlacker: Time to blow the whole thing up.

No.  I mean, maybe it is.  I don't watch much West Coast Hockey- but blowing it up may not be a necessity.
Look at the Bruins.  The Flyers came back down three to the Bruins in 2010 only to lose to the Hawks in the Cup Finals ( I mean, Ben friggin' Eager- really!!!).
The Bruins didn't panic, didn't blow it up, but made improvements.  That seems to work out very well for them in the last few years.

The Flyers blew up their team, and it didn't really help.

2014-05-01 10:10:44 AM
One might say they tanked.

On a side note, those green Minnesota away sweaters are some of the classiest unis out there.

That's beautiful.

That was tough to watch, at least the Avs went down in OT although maybe that's even more sucky.  I can't decide even though I've seen the Caps go down in flames in both fashion (getting blown out and losing a close game seven) and I think it sucks either way.

I can't remember if he played in that series, I know he was hurt during the playoffs that year.

Let's be honest.  With the history they have, it was only a matter of time before the Sharks joined this club.

\honestly feel bad for that team at this point

Maybe they should switch to football

/so they can play the Jets...

I think you may be correct. He had a foot injury so he may not have played, but we can all assume that he nailed as many women as he could on one foot during that series.

Rough night last night for the Flyers. Carcillo gets a goal against them for the Rangers, Carter/Richards move on, and Bryz gets the Game 7 win with one save to help the Wild play on.

Wow, I haven't seen a team choke that bad since Toronto was up 4-1 in game 7 with 10 minutes to go in last year's playoffs.

Second only to the A's losing to the Dodgers in the WS for worst playoff memories.

They looked old and slow and really had no heart. 0-15 on the power play made me feel like I was stuck in Sharks Groundhog Day. Same shiat year after year.

Thank you hockey gods!  If the Kings and the Bruins make it to the final, my pool is a guaranteed winner.  I will be sure to sacrifice some liver cells in your honour!

To the people arguing against blowing up the Sharks; this isn't their first playoff disappointment.  Agreed, you don't blow the team up after one screw up, but they've been making the playoffs every year since the 20th century, and only made the conference finals once.  And lost.  To the Flames.

yeah this year we blew the big 1 game to zero lead in the series

I managed to block that memory. The "no winning at home" series. God did that series break my heart.

Well at least now when a team is on the verge of the same thing, I no longer have to hear: "the last team to blow a 3-0 series lead was the 2010 Boston Bruins".

/knows your pain Sharks fans

Three times. They also were swept by Chicago in the 2010 conference finals and beaten in 5 by Vancouver in 2011.

I don't follow the Kings (last night was the first game I've watched them play this year), so can someone fill me in on how Mike Richards went from Flyers' captain to a fourth line center in like three years?

He plays hockey to pay for his partying.

Whelp. Stupid Avs. At least that's what I was thinking when I woke up this morning. Now, I feel better knowing that they have a learning curve (super young team, really crappy defense) and plenty of good years to look forward to. And I look at the Sharks and I see, well, not a whole lot to be excited about in the future. And I laughed, and laughed.

No matter what happens in hockey, we will always have the Sharks.

The only major sports team my home town has just doesn't know the Heimlich maneuver.  This type of thing happens to them ALL THE TIME.
