(Omaha World Herald)   County GOP chairman running for county board in effort to deny same-sex employee benefits. Never mind those "ridiculous" past charges of child neglect and financial woes, we can't be letting the gays get health insurance   (omaha.com) divider line 29

So he's running on a platform of trying to be a dick, then spending millions to lose in court?

He's hot. As a gay dude I would vote for him just so I could stare at him while he spews insanity.

/not really, obviously. The internet allows me to stare at him even if he doesn't get elected.

Lippincott said he and his wife weren't aware of the lawsuit until the last year or two despite the court's attempts to garnishee their wages.
"I didn't even know that I had it, and it wasn't until I tried to go get a mortgage that it turned up," said Lippincott, noting that an outstanding judgment has prevented him from buying a home.

Yeah. I'm sure it's easy to ignore all notices from the court, the credit card company, the collection agency, and all of the phone calls and find it all a surprise too. Seems totes legit.

The rest of it makes it sound like he's one of those people who make a mountain out of a molehill about everything and then deny that it was a big deal later. AKA a woman.

No matter how bad things are for you, as long as you can make things worse for someone else you win.

I think Buddha said that.

Yeah, the gaydar tells me he's no stranger to the penis.

You might be able to get some action.  You'll just have to do it in the closet.

As for his politics, he'll make a fine Republican - a failure on finances and personal accountability.

Let's see . . . as GOP chairman, how can I reinforce ALL the Republican negative stereotypes?

I was going to read the article, but then I saw his picture. His face is so punchable, I had to close the article.

Despite his court convictions, he says he can assure voters that those are in the past and that now he follows the law.

At times, he has not paid fines for more than a year out of protest, calling one of the criminal cases against him "ridiculous."

I fully expect him to spend the next week getting free advertising on the Sean Hannity show.

Conservatives assure me that this guy is a fringe member not representative of conservatism as a whole, while they continue to elect nobody except people exactly like this.

They should take his kids away and let a responsible gay couple raise them.

And it's rather intolerant on your part to state that observation, don't you think?

18 driving infractions for a 29-year old is pretty telling. His wife is running for school board. Sarpy County sounds like quite a place.

Really?? I looked up a photo of him out of curiosity and it just reinforced the fact that as a straight dude I must be a horrible judge of male attractiveness. He looks so very, very average and plain. He's a generic chubby white dude with one of those smiles that doesn't quite look genuine.

Doesn't that mean that you're the real intolerant person for noticing his statement is intolerant? Or is that how the kids do it these days?

I don't think he's hot but he set off my gaydar I bet he has an iPod touch wifey doesn't know about and he has a shirtless grindr profile.

Okay, he's just alright.  I would say he's one of the hotter House members though, but the hottest one is definitely Schock.

House member?  WTH was I thinking?  I meant "male Republican politician" most of whom aren't House members.  Sorry.

This is actually the PostModern GOP platform, and I'm not kidding.

Wow, this guy's a winner. Here 'a something that really struck me, though: "Later, he refused to pay a $155 fine for more than a year for not carrying a driver's license, having no proof of insurance and failing to appear in court."

I've gotten a ticket for this once before. If you're a normal, reasonable person you just show up at your court date with your license and proof of insurance and they offer to waive the ticket in full.

Instead, this dude threw a little hissy, and decided to try ignoring the whole thing and see if that made it go away. Very responsible.

\But we knew that. Who needs two child neglect convictions before they install extra locks?

Sauron could run as a republican in Nebraska and get elected.

Why not? The wife will make sure that the education there will be so bad that the Omaha Public Schools will produce a generation of drooling imbeciles who will be easily suckered into voting for her husband every time. A cradle to grave cycle of Derp and Evil.

A homophobe that can't even take care of his own children?  Sure, why not.

FTFA: "My wife convinced me that I needed to stop being such a bullhead about stuff," he said of making payments after delays. "She's the better half, that's for sure."

So...why would anyone want to vote for you?

No, you're correct. This guy is (and I'm being generous here) maybe a six. SphericalTime either has some very specific tastes or got into the bourbon a little early this morning.
