As I told my 16-year old and my 20-year old just the other day, nothing good came out of the 1990's.

The 90s were a transition between a world with homes not having Internet to having Internet

I lived in Nick at Nite and MTV from 1990-1991
I was in a MST3k haze from 1992-1994
I remember hearing about people getting email in 1995.
Books would have an HTML and Compuserve address on them.
Windows 95 came out and every lost their mind.
AOL started sending things in the mail ... a lot.
I used Netscape in the new computer lab at the college to use INFOSEEK to find MST3K episode guides
I drove my brother up to the computer lab to show him the "Internet" and we looked up websites for Magic the Gathering info
1996 - I did an English report citing web URLs as sources. Professor had me stay after class to show the rest of the English department what this "Superhighway" was and how to use it for research.
1996 was also the time I felt I was "missing out" because the Sci-Fi channel had more info at scifi.com
1998 - a group of us were blown away by this "Flash" animation site called eye4u and wondering if that would be the future of the web
1999 - we were trying to download videos of people who made their own lightsaber effects as we waited for Episode I to come out.

/use to work with the guy who had one of the first star wars sound effects sites

neilbradley: JudgeItoBox: Besides grunge music, there is absolutely nothing to be nostalgic over regarding the 90s.

Fixed that for ya. I was in my 20s then, and was absolutely disgusted with 90s music and the culture of mediocrity, and still am bitter about it.

There was a fantastic amount of good music in electronic and hip hop.
