Well they are just allegations. I will believe it when he actually gets charged or they proved he really did this. It is just one player and it is an attorney that is proclaiming this. The DA cleared but we shall see what happens. The worst that would happen after that is PSU would have to let him go.

If he contacted her to say "Don't implicate my players", it's one thing.

If he contacted her to say "You'll have our full support, no matter what, during this trying time. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you", that's different.

Ladies, let this be a lesson to you. If you're going to assist in recruiting, make sure you assist one player at a time and that you lay down ground rules before the assisting session begins.

On one hand, no one should jump to conclusions because of what kdawg7736 said.

But jokes are fine:

Apparently Penn State fans wanted someone like JoePa so Penn State hired someone who has experience responding improperly to rape allegations

Penn State fans respond, "Hey, at least it was an adult female this time! Let's go State!"

The recruits need to film the action and send it to me for study and review.

No need for the apologetic throat-clearing. Penn State jokes are fair game. The administration is, at a very minimum, unfathomably tone-deaf degree for hiring this guy in the first place. They deserve scorn and ridicule.

The facts; Four Vandy players gang raped an unconscious Vanderbilt co-ed. Within a week, they had been thrown off the football team, banned from the campus and indicted for their crime. Whatever the rest of the story is, and I'm sure it's sordid and scandalous, the fact is that Vanderbilt did the right thing. Which is so rare a thing to have happen nowadays that it's damn near remarkable.

That was my vague recollection as well, but it's been a while.  My reading was that Vandy had handled it pretty well.

The number one criteria Penn St. had for hiring a coach was to make sure nothing in that individuals background could cause the media to revisit the Sandusky scandal. Grade fixing, paying players, cussing at players - who cares as long as there wasn't any mention of 'sexual assault', 'rape', or 'cover-up'. And they totally failed.

Penn State has quit trying to even appear like it cares now

God how I hate James Franklin. I'm just happy I no longer have to look at his ugly face for one game a year. Terrible person, terrible personality

/Vanderbilt sucks
//Penn St. sucks
