Does the shark float?

I'll stick with the Black Seas Barracuda and the Lego sharks that came with my childhood pirate sets.

You know the thing about a shark, he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a LEGO's eye.

I thought LEGO as a brand didn't use modern weapons, just swords or futuristic things...

Gah, what did they do the sharks?
This is the one true shark that terrorized my Pirates and Imperial Guards:

I have a few boxes of Legos at my mom's house still.  It's fun to get them out and build things with the nephews from time to time.  (not being sexist but my nieces have zero Lego interest)  I received quite a few pirate sets so there are half a dozen of those exact sharks.  The top jaw stays on most of them pretty well.

Hm, how about a LEGO game based on Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street? I mean F13 alone would be awesome in the old style of silent LEGO characters for obvious reasons.

And how much for those 40 pieces? $200?

Some more creative Lego (put the emphasis where you like)

I don't care how old I get, I can't imagine a time when I wouldn't have fun assembling Legos.

/sadly, having an excuse to buy and play with them might very well be my best incentive to ever have kids

I think there must be an equivalent of Rule 34 for LEGOs.

Who needs an excuse? Ive spent almost $800 on legos the past 2 months...

Finally found the Simpsons minifigs today, got all 16.

I think thats a new shark the submitter designed for the set.

Actually just checked, that larger minifig swallowing sized shark has only been in one set, with fricking lasers!

I just got this set last month and his arm is the same old shark as far as i can tell. Dont have a vintage one handy for comparison though, all my old legos are at my parents house.

So, do little pieces of the Kitner boy come out of the shark when they cut it open?

Looks better than the one in Jaws 3D, though.

I also note the complete absence of the 'skinny dipper at the start of the movie/book that sets the whole thing off' minifig.

One of the best things about being a parent is that you get to do all the fun stuff with your kids, and instead of being a creepy-ass stranger at the playground, you're a cool parent.

The really cool thing about being a godparent, older cousin, or grandparent is that you get to do all the fun stuff with your extended family's kids, and instead of having to deal with the downsides of childhood, you can hand them back when you need a break.

Do current Lego sets include instructions to make alternate items like the sets from the 80's? How else will a jaws 3D set be made?

/take the three barrels and make a super barrel. Fark you jaws!

They never included alternate instructions, but they did have photos of alternate builds on the back, unfortunately they dont anymore.

BUT, there were a couple of two in one sets from the movie that work for a movie collection, or wouldnt look out of place in a normal lego town.

"It's part of the LEGO CUUSOU site, which was started by LEGO as a route for inventive fans to suggest potential sets."

Is that an acronym?  The intertubes say it's a flight from Chihuahua to Southampton.
