Jeeze, subs. That's embarrassing.

I think Durant was half expecting Tony Allen to come block the shiat out of his free throw.

He's one of the greatest players in history, but he's going to get thrown off of his rhythm by a brief game delay?  Durant has been off his game the entire series.

I just read a small study that shows players are more apt to choke on free throws when their team is up or down by 1 point with less than a minute to go.

This would help that argument.

If he was in the shooting motion, subs would be right.

Subs is wrong.

Subs is angry that his team is not playing like he wants and is channeling that fear and anger at other things.

I'm glad that the Clippers aren't playing Memphis again this year.  It doesn't matter if OKC wins this series because Memphis will have already taken them out of the running for the title.  You come out of a Memphis series shellshocked and battered these days

Subby sounds mad.

As a Spurs fan, I'd just like to say fark Joey Crawford.

That is all.

Maybe Durant shouldn't have shot a 3 when down 1 at the end of OT.

The default assumption about the NBA is not "did they fix the game," but "how did they fix the game."

IAmRight: Maybe Durant shouldn't have shot a 3 when down 1 at the end of OT.

In the words of Sir Charles: "THAT'S the play they draw up coming out of a timeout!"

Joey Crawford is full on apeshiat retard in terms of being a ref but Durant's gotta make a FT there. I bet he's not making excuses, Subby.

That's not Joey Crawford defense.  THIS is Joey Crawford defense.

What's more troubling is he will most likely win MVP. And it reminds me of when Dirk won the MVP and the Mavs got housed by an eighth-seeded Warriors team.

Durant plays shiat defense compared to LeBron and yet his offense is so much better that it makes up for it? Really?

Eh, LeBron coasted a lot during the regular season. No biggie. It's tiring when you have to keep playing all the way to the Finals while the other guys are resting up for next year.

Voter fatigue.  It happens and at least Durrant is deserving of the award in my opinion.

They want to reward other great players.  Jordan probably should have had about 8 MVPs, but they wanted to reward Barkley/Malone etc

This and the comment about coasting.

LeBron did enough to earn it, but he didn't do enough to run away with it like he did previously.

I think he should have gotten it but the fact it won't isn't unbelievable.

Durant also did edge-out Lebron with regard to PER and win shares.  You can't argue against Durant really this year... but anybody who thinks he's actually as good or better than Lebron is an idiot.

Pretty sure they vote before the playoffs start. If not, Noah needs to give back his DPOY.

Even if they don't, it's a regular season award. The playoffs have their own MVP. Durant was the MVP this year basically because LeBron was tired and didn't play as hard as consistently and Durant had a historic offensive season. LeBron is still better.

Crawford did not *ice* Durant.

What he did do, however, was once again perform some completely unnecessary, over-the-top display of JOEY CRAWFORD, THE BEST REFEREE EVAR AND ALL THESE FANS IN ATTENDANCE ARE HERE TO SEE ME, NOT THE ACTUAL PLAYERS AND THE GAME ITSELF.

This is what he does. Over, and over, and over, and over again.

Agreed. But if your MVP gets bullied off his game as the Grizz have shown, he's really not worthy.

I really don't know much about Joey Crawford's reputation, except from Wikipedia. Not a huge NBA fan.

But I really think that 62 years old is too much for the NBA. He needs to be set out to pasture.

FIFA International referees can't be older than 44 at the start of any calendar year. You don't need 40 years of experience to do the NBA.

The Grizz are much better than a 7 seed.  They had a ton of injuries this season.  They were in the WCF last year and are a true team in the way Indiana is not.

They'll push around LeBron if they meet in the Finals, too.  The league's rules for defense are now actually designed in a way where you can now double-team players off the ball, something which Michael, Magic, Larry, or whomever never had to deal with.  This is just a great team defense eying on Durant, knowing full well that having Westbrook take thirty shots is not going to win them a game.

Okc is done. I don't see a collective effort from the team to pull this off. It'll be Durant and Westbrook taking shot after shot and this will kill them. I bet we will see Westbrook screw this up for them putting up some stories about whether or not him and KD can coexist.

Joey Crawford is awful. He should have been out of the league years ago along with Bavetta and Palmer.

The Bulls/Wiz officials were atrocious too. I counted at least 4 blatant pushes in the back on offensive rebounds in the last two minutes. There were a couple where the official was staring right at the action from less than 10 feet away too.

In his defense (hur) he was putting up Jordanesque numbers in the regular season.  I think their biggest problem is that Scott Brooks is the NBA's Marty Schottenheimer.

Durant outperformed LeBron this regular season, although LeBron remains the better player. LeBron spent a good amount of time conserving his energy, which tends to happen after going to the Finals three years in a row and playing in an Olympics as well.
