I have a feeling I'm going to get really sick of Adam Driver really soon.

Anyone else think Gillian Jacobs looks MUCH prettier as a brunette?

No mention of Wallace Shawn in The Double? INCONCEIVABLE!

It does work for her.  Elizabeth Banks is usually good too, I'll catch that one when it shows up on HBO or Netflix.

But now YOU'VE heard of them, subby. That immediately makes them not cool.

I already saw that Snowpiercer. Didn't realize it was yet to be releaesed.  I didn't bother finishing it.

Yeah, 'cause of what you said about blondes getting skin cancer.

Um, EXCUSE ME???  These are DOMESTIC films?  If they're not in another language, preferably without subtitles, I don't want to see them?  Guh....

IOW, the lineup at Sundance this year

I'm looking forward to the Icelandic film Sdkdjfoiufdfidufoidfdfoifjfjfdi set to release in June, based on the true story of a young professional who once listened to the entire Sigur Rós catalog while sitting in a geothermic pool.

I don't want to think when I go to the movies.  I just want to see robots and crap blowing up and stuff.  Life is so mentally taxing for me that I cannot tolerate anything with dialog beyond "whoa" and "uggggggggh!"

Huh, another adaptation of The Switch?  Elmore Leonard has plenty of other books available, why remake that one?

Help me understand something, subby (or anyone, for that matter): how does one not knowing of something's existence intrinsically make that thing devoid of any and all value?

Holy shiat, someone I know has been working on Boyhood since they started filming.

12 years?!

I feel old.

Actually, I am old.

Subby, I'm sorry someone didn't like Winter Solider.

Boyhood sounds like it will be good, but the gimmick will make it rise to over-blown Forrest Gump proportions.
The Rover looks good, but it's just another 'people go crazy when things get bad' story that we've heard a million times. Give me a happy post-apocalypse story for a change.
Snowpiercer is an OK action flick if you don't stop and think about it. Like most French science fiction, it relies on an absurd element that gives it a fantasy feel. NTTAWWT- it's just not my cup of tea. It is ridiculous to think that a train will run continuously for years in a world without any people to maintain the tracks and infrastructure of the line, not to mention the maintenance of the surrounding structures.

Saw The Double and liked it. Big fan of Ayoade.

Walk of Shame
Elizabeth Banks stars in this comedy from writer-director Steven Brill ("The Mighty Ducks") about a news reporter who has a crazy one-night stand and winds up stranded without a phone or way home. Focus World (a division of Focus Features) will release this one in limited theaters and via on-demand services at the same time.

Hmm, why does that sound familiar?

If no one else has heard of these films, how did this article get written, derpmitter?

The Rover looks like it has a lot of potential. I thought Animal Kingdom was damn good.

I liked it. And thought the end was pretty good.

///I'm pretty sure in the end the moral of the story was "Strive to be better, cast off the chains of your oppressors, get eating by farking polar bears." I lol'd.

Big photos (some of which have nothing to do with the movie they represent) with tiny captions means that we are told next to nothing about these films. All I've learned is that they all star Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasiwhooziwhat, but I could have guessed that anyway. Huffington Post has wasted my time again!

After months of debate, Bong Joon Ho's "Snowpiercer" will arrive in  . The epic film stars Chris Evans, Octavia Spencer, Jamie Bell and Tilda Swinton.

i.huffpost.com Which one is Tilda Swinton???

I would rather see any one of these movies than farming Spiderman and whatever other bullshiat they planned for this summer.

On what planet are some of these "indie"? They're low budget films by established artists, released by major film companies.

I wish  Jodorwsky's Dune would get released someplace around here. The man is so delightfully insane, and his version of  Dune would have been... awful but visually stunning.

I got to see Palo Alto at TriBeca last week and was pleasantly surprised. The writing was candid, the characters, scenes, and situations were eerily familiar.

They released it here in the Philippines a couple of months ago. Watch it. Just watch it. I don't really know how to explain it but the whole movie had a Bioshock feeling going.

Not a great movie, but my love of Sam Rockwell, Clark Gregg and the source material makes it a personal favorite.

Also:  Britta boobs.
