(Metro)   Listen man, getting drunk is one thing, but getting drunk and playing in a children's playground is dumber. But what's really dumb is getting stuck in a climbing frame at a children's playground   (metro.co.uk) divider line 24

When I was in college one of my friends got stuck in Mayor McCheese. No FD though, we got him out. I think he's an attorney now...

They should give every kid at the park one of those thunder tubes to beat him on the head with.

Sounds like a valuable life lesson for the little tykes.  They should have left him there.

Thankfully, all he was caught in was playground equipment.

I used to live near a park where the local loser youths would drink on the kid's climbers and proving their manhood by breaking their booze bottles against it.

This thoughtless habit by these low lifes resulted in a visit to the emergency dept for my kid who cut her foot on a broken bottle.

We tried to complain to the asshole cops who refused to do anything because they were too busy running radar traps than actually serving the public.

Solved the problem by moving away from that neighborhood.

Meh, not as old as him, but we use to frequent a darkly lit park late at night in highschool as our local drinking spot.  It was a fall back place when there was no where to go without parents.  Worked well.

I can say we never did that stuff.  We just sat around, enjoyed being outside in the summer, and had a few drinks.

And I thought my habit of running through playgrounds at night with bags of peanut dust was strange.....

What kind of pathetic loser gets drunk on a playground? Everyone knows you drink just enough to take the edge off and maybe get a good buzz going.

Some of my fondest memories of college involve playground equipment, copious amounts of alcohol, and pretty education majors, so no, I reject the premise that playground equipment and alcohol don't mix.

Idiots, maybe not so much...

It's not a children's playground, it's a human obstacle course. That guy failed but many brave souls have triumphed.

This was not my proudest moment, but yeah....

You know those hanging rings? In my drunken state I was able to flawlessly execute an inversion and get my ankles in them as we went through a playground. And then was too sloshed to extricate myself. I'm 6'3" and 200 pounds... The erstwhile G/F was 5' even and maybe half my weight soaking wet and wearing combat boots. Her friend wasn't much more than that.

Somehow between them they managed to get my fat ass out of those rings with a loud "THUMP" as I hit the ground.
