Ok, guys, ok, ok, guys, listen, guys GUYS, listen...

Let's take Arthur, you know, the Dudley Moore one, but make his valet the drunk one.  Put him on the Newsroom, but make it more like a Piers Morgan type show, not a reporter... no, that's been done....  Let's surround him with the characters from Office Space and the Office...and at home... Ron Swanson...

What to we call it?

I don't know, pass me that blunt...

It's Starz, so they'll order two seasons, then unceremoniously cancel it.

Why not Stephen Fry, since his superhero thing with Ron Weasley fell through?

Even better, Hugh Laurie, and just tell him to play alcoholic Prince George?

Yup, I've never seen him in Star Trek. How about "Ian McKellan's Twitter feed's Patrick Stewart"?

I just really want to know how it was that Seth MacFarlane and Patrick Stewart became such frequent collaborators.  I'm sure it has something to do with Seth being a moderately serious Trekkie, but seriously this is not a match-up I ever would have expected.  The guy goes from doing Shakespeare to frequently appearing on a show known for some of the bluest humor on network TV.

All I know is that it makes me think both of them are pretty awesome, Seth for apparently being able to impress freakin' Patrick Stewart with his ideas, and Stewart for having the kind of warped sense of humor that lets him participate in said ideas.

"In the character of Walter Blunt, Seth, Jonathan and Patrick have found the alchemy that makes a borderline alcoholic, mad-genius-Brit the man you want fighting in America's corner. Seth and Jonathan have struck the right balance between biting wit and outright absurdity in building this world, and we cannot wait for Patrick to breathe life into Walter," Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said in a statement announcing the news Tuesday.

Is it me, or does this kind of proto-hype just sap the fun out of everything like a saggy 67-year old drunk divorcee as she holds back her sobs while she blows you?

ubermensch: Sir Digby Chicken Caesar?

I feel like even a three minute Digby sketch would be too sketchy for American TV, let alone putting him on a show. But in theory, yes.

See as it's just ok and slightly farked up, I'm going to suggest Craig Ferguson. I hear he'll have some time on his hands soon,

Can someone please tell me how long Seth's contract with Satan is supposed to last? How does someone with a cartoon show end up hosting the Oscars and producing several movies and films so quickly? Even Matt Groening and Trey Parker haven't climbed up the ladder as far or as fast.
