Huh. Well, at least we now know how Obama can get people appointed without the GOP saying a goddamn thing.

2014-04-29 01:47:45 PM
Let's take a moment to remember that the Democratic Party actually criticizes it's own side for substantial and meaningful reasons, calmly laying out the arguments that they are making in a reasonable manner.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled "The DEMS are eating their own!" thread.

SphericalTime: "The DEMS are eating their own!"

I look forward to seeing Senator Warren crack open their skulls and feast on the goo. In fact, I'm copyrighting that for a script RIGHT NOW

It's almost as if many of us already knew that Obama was at best a left-leaning centrist pragmatist.

2014-04-29 02:54:29 PM
Wait, this can't be.  I keep hearing that all Liberals are constantly slurping on Fartbama's gigantic Communist schnocker, and that not a single one of them ever has a bad thing to say about him.

2014-04-29 02:54:34 PM
actual liberals have been attacking obama from the left from day one

i hope this helps

I have it on good authority that he is the libiest lib that ever libbed a lib.  The fact that Warren is criticizing him means the Willard is President.

We get it, he's black.

I want Elizabeth Warren to have my babies!!

/call me!

Democrats criticize their own when they do things that are bad or stupid

Republicans criticize their own then they do things that aren't bad or stupid enough

2014-04-29 03:00:49 PM
Good. My biggest problem with current Democrats is the degree to which they're indistinguishable from many Republicans concerning Wall Street.

you obviously chose not to read TFA, she's actually attacking the entirety of our government for being (letting themselves be) controlled by the mega-corp banks family of friends.

and she's right.

Oh no, Elizabeth Warren did something that looks good! Quick, call in the threadshiatters to lie that she demanded a $22/hr minimum wage!

2014-04-29 03:06:13 PM
We need a Roosevelt populist soon. It's time. Maybe she's that person, or the person to get the ball rolling.

The more press Chief Wannahockaloogie gets for taking Dems to task over their financial ties, the more puzzling is her unwavering support of Walks With Cankles for President.

Why? She's right. Oh you think Dems can't take criticism and have blind loyalty in their party leaders. Sorry that is projection from you.

2014-04-29 03:09:09 PM
This is not unexpected. Republicans started distancing themselves from Bush near the end of his presidency.

Absolutely on this issue. A few Congressional Democrats (lie Warren) and the more liberal SCOTUS justices seem to be on the right side of this, but too many politicians are just as happy to have the system be flooded with Wall Street and other industry money.

/social, environmental, geopolitical and general fiscal issues-no contest

By all means vote for a third party candidate if you find a good one, especially in local elections where they've got a real shot. People voting Republican in large numbers has done enough damage to the country in my lifetime, so I'd appreciate you not doing that. Your vote though, do what you will.

Republicans wouldn't care. Unless they were trying to make it into some petty obstructionist bullshiat.

That's just their IMAX projector projecting their want to do the same to <Insert Rethuglican Darling Du Jour Here, is it still Putin?> as a disparagement against their political opponents

"Run" is a bit strong, but they certainly do seem to have free reign these days, and a lot of legislation is conspicuously in their best interests regardless of the effects on the general population. The status quo is certainly not sustainable.

Nobody believed that for a second subby. Republicans would never have a problem with handing over the administration of our country to these Captains of Industry, these Galts Among Men!

What would be wrong with that? Wouldn't minimum wage be around $20/hour if it had kept up with inflation.

What's wrong with that is that we hate living in a country with a sizable middle class.

//There really needs to be more cutting from the top rather than adding to the bottom to fully redress this issue, though.

I am pretty sure the answer is no.

Tangentially, not having proof of ancestry is not the same thing as not having that ancestry. My wife's great grandmother hid her heritage pretty carefully to avoid being forced from her home. See  http://www.tngenweb.org/cherokee_by_blood/white.htm. My wife has never listed herself as anything but white, but she clearly has epicanthic folds :  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epicanthic_fold.

No, minimum wage if it was held to inflation would be about $4.

Nope.  Do you create your baseline off of a historic max or the historic min or a best fit over time?  Yours is base off of the historic max while mine is the historic min which is also the initial point.
