That was actually pretty good, too bad it couldn't have been 400 instead of just 40.

They called 911?  Seriously.  They couldn't just ask them to leave?

The Best Buy one was their best IMHO

Security did it. The other employees seemed to enjoy it. This would have been free PR for the company, but not they will be known as mr. grumpy pants

The "Slo-Mo Home Depot" was also pretty funny. That was back when I/E was, well, funnier than it is these days.

I think the concept of the mannequin thing was good BUT they should have at least taken pains to not have the customers AND EMPLOYEES see them change into the suits! I mean, they just gave away the joke!

Couldn't see the video because ADBLOCK won't let me see GAP Commercials.

I understand that from their perspective they were responding to a 911 report of a robbery.

It's on video, no they were not. Specifically said flash mob.
Yes, I can see how a lifetime ban would really hurt.. NOT!
See they were let go at the end, but what exactly were they arrested and handcuffed for? (and why no mention of multiple suits lol)

I still like what they did at the Little League game, complete with fans, jumbo-tron, and a real announcer.

My favoriite part was where they all got cuffed.  Too bad they didn't get to round out the experience with some quality jail time.

2:45... two IE mobbers and a cop laughing at the store guy for being a grumpy pants!

What was the point of that? It wasn't funny and they didn't even jump and scare people. Which would have been funny.

"Hey I have an idea. Lets all put on white Morph suits and stand around"
"LMFAO That's so awesome! Hahahahahahahahah! OMG my sides!"

This is probably my favorite. Its one of those pranks/"social experiments" that just make people feel good and give everyone involved a day they'll never forget. It's a great one.

The one where they pose as an enthusiastic audience for a no-name band was cool, too. The band realized something was up but ended up having a great time being stars for one night, anyway.

They may not have been robbing the place, but they should have been arrested for being relentlessly lame and annoying.

I'm a little surprised no actual mannequins were wrestled to the ground and shot for failing to comply.

I feel Improv Everywhere is at their best in the random acts of kindness like Best Gig Ever, Best Game Ever.... or really creative things like the MP3 missions. Some of the retail store-type events sound funny up front like "What if everybody went to Best Buy wearing a blue shirt" but isn't really that funny and walks a thin line of potential malicious intent. It's probably more fun if you're actually there, but they feel more like some sort of protest/demonstration that doesn't actually have a motive. But again, many of their other missions really are great.

I wish they had not interviewed the participants afterward. That just inspired a little too much contempt.

i dunno, i think they could have interviewed that one girl at the end a bit longer.

Seriously? That whole thing was IMPROVISED?

What a crazy coincidence they all had those hoods!

The NYPD is not amused

Haven't watched the video or read the thread yet, but the NYPD acted like turgid phalli when IE did the Best Buy blueshirt prank too, which at the time was a very polarizing prank

That shiatstain who called 911 should have his nuts cut off with a dull, rusty knife.

If you're that easily amused, good for you.

"9-1-1, what's your emergency?"
"Yeah, there's a flash mob in the store"
"Sir, are they harassing customers or disrupting your business?"
"No, they're just standing around. People are starting to laugh at them."
"Is anybody in danger?"
"Uhh, no."
"9-1-1 is for life and death emergencies only, you pussified douche canoe."
