911 is not some buddy you can call up when you need to vent about problems that you let get out of hand.

I could not find anywhere in the article that 911 was called.  It stated he called the Sheriffs dept because the 17 year old boy punched an hole in the wall and walked out when the 72 year old man cut off the internet.  He was not venting, he was trying to find out how to handle the boy who was being violent.  When the police arrived he also stated that the boy was lazy and not doing what he was told.  When I am 72, I am probably not going to start fighting with a 17 year old unless I am attacked.  He received suggestions from the police on what actions he can take, and I do not see a problem with that.

...lazy like a FOX. I'm sure he'll learn his lesson now that he has no way to access the internet.

/why did I never think of this as my ex would sit around in his underwear playing videogames while I mowed the lawn and cleaned the house with a full time job and TBI (traumatic brain injury).

Because of the traumatic brain injury?

The what?

/ kidding, just barely. I remember very little for the better part of a year except random bits, like coming home from a week away to find a week's worth of dishes on the counter. Forgetting what I was doing but becoming aware that I was holding a gigantic kitchen knife. "What is this? Oh, there is soap on it. I must have been doing the dishes. I guess I'll continue, he doesn't look like he's at a save point yet."
// brains are touchy. Don't ever fly with a concussion or any other bump to the head. The more you know.

And yet you remember everything the ex did wrong. The power of the woman mind.

Awe, it's so cute how you agree the only thing he did in that year was the one thing I mentioned.

I'm pregnant

akya: So you would call the cops on him or cut the internet?

I was thinking cops, but cutting the internet would have been fun too. I just kind of fantasized about the cops tazing some energy into him. (Yeah he's long gone, I upgraded many models up once I finally realized I was dating someone who treated me like garbage and was a 0 on the looks, personality and smarts scales).

For the grandpa, he has this gigantic bargaining chip he's not considering. Have someone lock the router down, so that the grandkid has to do chores in order to earn time online. I know parents who change the wireless password every day- there are so many low tech ways to do this. Hell, just charge him money if he doesn't do them or you'll disconnect the internets.

If the grandfather has custody of the 17 year old, something bad must have happened to the parents.    Good luck to those two.

Taser him until he gets his life in order. That'll do the trick.

Deputies advised the man of his options, and he said he would handle the discipline.
