Was there something that indicated they had any intention of moving?  Is MH370 still missing too ? Is the sky still blue????

While they were parked there their own soldiers probably stole necessary parts out of the vehicles to scrap them and now they can't move them.

NATO has seen no sign that tens of thousands of Russian troops are withdrawing from close to the Ukraine border, a NATO official said on Tuesday, despite a Russian statement that the troops had returned to their permanent positions.

lol.. thats because they  are in their new permanent positions.

Also, by "NATO still freaking out" I assume you mean "doing absolutely nothing, and will continue to do absolutely nothing".

It's okay. Chuck Hegel has been assured by Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu that the Russians that they aren't going to invade. And there would be no reason for a Russian minister to lie to the Secretary of Defense. To do so my provoke a Strongly Worded Letter.

There is a reason we have been at war for so long, it's called Private Central Banking.  This is more about who's currency the World will use to trade their resources and who will therefore get their mafia like cut of all the world's transactions.

I agree. I can't think of a military application of cavalry on very pointing boats.

Chill the eff out.  There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that Iraq troops are invading Kuwait. They are just doing a military exercise.   In fact, they are back to their permanent positions.

It's coming....Putin planned this for a long time.  May Day aka Spring and Labor Day is just around the corner...You know it's one of his favorites!  And just after that--It's Victory Day on May 9th...

The longer this goes on, the worse it gets for Russia.

This conflict isn't going to be fought with bullets and bombs.  It's already being fought with financial weapons and Russia's position in that is basically with them bent over, their pants around their ankles.

It appears NATO is doing the exact opposite of freaking out.     Sometimes fark is also known as opposite town.

Agree. Im all for dropping bombs when appropriate but I say financially crush these farks. Make em so poor they end up eating grass like korea. Then the Russian people can decide how much Putin is helping reclaim old glory. Much like Iran the Russian economy is a one trick pony. Squeeze them pricks till they trade gas for food or flinch and attack a country the world cares about.

Parking Joint NATO forces in Poland is nothing now? I haven't been keeping much track, but I know Poland is itching to cross the borders, Canada has sent over CF-18s, and America has sent the 173rd Airborne and some F-16s. That alongside whatever else I am not aware of. So while they try and pursue the non-violent path, NATO is ready to kick back.

In the old days, propaganda was spread via newspapers and radio stations broadcast into enemy countries.

These days, it's done via forums and message boards, twitter and instagram.

In the end, it's all the same thing: Impose your version of the situation and convince the enemy's civilians that things are not going well for their side.

Not just Poland, but all Eastern European NATO member states got healthy infusions of NATO forces and equipment.  Pooty Tang is being kind enough to give us all the time we need to get people and armor into proper position, apparently.

As I've said already, the longer this goes on, the worse it gets for Russia.  Their best possible moment would have been the same week that they took the Crimean region.  If they'd pushed on into Eastern Ukraine, they may well have been able to seize it, too.

Instead, they played too much of a waiting game and now the tide is against them and sanctions came down hard.

For Russia, it's the frying pan or the fire.

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu told U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel in a phone call on Monday that Russian forces, which started drills near the border last week, had returned to their permanent positions, according to the Russian government.

those are now their permanent positions.

Yes.  They are there to reassure  Poland, not the Ukraine.  You know, because Poland is a NATO member, and Ukraine is not.

These goddamn wars cost billions a day and are the reason why some want the massive military buildup in the US.  If they want to use some other currency fine.  I'm sick of all my tax money going to killing people on the other side of the planet.

Ugh,  If we have to sort it out with our military let's do it as violently and quickly as possible.  The war should last a weekend, not a decade.

It's also not good for the Ukrainian people because they just get further in debt to the EU and have to pay higher oil and gas prices along with the rest of Europe, and eventualy increase the price of everything else.  It is only good for the Bankers.

I know this is true because I hacked the NSA's White House video feed and saw the President drafting apologies in Ukrainian and Russian.
