I loathe the Nats, but this is a tough break. Hopefully he'll be back and I can enjoy watching the Braves continue to own the Nats at full strength.

Talk about bad luck. Poor guy seems fine. He's supposed to rejoin the team this week.

Didn't Josh Hamilton do the same thing a few weeks back? Though he went super dumbass by sliding headfirst into *first*.

/I got my skier's thumb the old-fashioned way.

I extremely dislike Matt Williams and his aggressive attitude on offense.
Baseball is a marathon not a sprint.
I put this and Rayn's injury solely on his shoulders, as well as Denard Span's concussion a few weeks ago.

This Nationals team has never been on the top of the league when it comes to stealing bases and it has never been a problem for them.
This is a case of a manager trying to fix something that ain't broke.

Maybe if he didn't bench Harper for not running out a routine grounder when he had a hurt quad Harper wouldn't have tried to turn a stand up double into a triple when the Nats were up by 6 runs.

Well it's obvious someone on Kolob has it in for him.

Came here to say something like this, only with less detail, eloquence, and insight.

Carry on.

If harper slides feet first, he doesn't injure his hand.

His injury last year sustained when he ran into the wall/ scoreboard was preventable as well. He just wasn't aware of where the wall was and ran right into it. You are going to have some injuries, like the quad. But you have to reduce the injuries you can prevent.

The decision-making is not strong with this one.  Or his manager.

Seriously hoping that Williams will be one-and-done, and the Nats can get a serious manager for next season.
