Is "frogs" a euphemism for boobies?

No lack of frogs around here. The spring peepers are loudly singing their froggy love songs all night and I have trouble falling asleep. Another couple of weeks and we will be back to normal night noises.

He looks so very deep in thought.

Here's a 'blue jean' frog we bumped into in the Lake Arenal region. Cute, eh?

One came in on a plant this past winter.  Mrs. 6M kept it in an aquarium through the winter.  Fed it crickets and meal worms.  Released it two weeks ago in the yard and it still stays around.

Good On Yer M/M 6M!  That may well be What's Intended.
Rescued this from Goodwill Thu, had singing engagement there.  Late mother-in-law woulda a) liked very much except b) woulda swum in it.  It's medium, she wore XS.  She collected over 200 synthetic frogs while she lived, we retain some but luckily not all.  This actually scrub top, will go to her granddtr soon along with book for her son, not yet 1.

Q: Do your frogs all croak at night?

A: No, some of them die in the daytime.

Once you start taking a look at the genetics it gets even murkier.
There are plenty of critters which we would morphologically call "frogs" which are more closely related to critters we'd call "toads" than they are to other frogs.

So yes we should save toads to because the difference is the latin name we gave them.

The houses across the street from me used to back onto a field. On the other side of the field were a road and ditches that drained into a nearby man-made lake. We used to find frogs in our pool quite often. If they were still alive, we took them back to the field. A few years ago that field was replaced by a highway. Yeah, we don't get frogs in the pool anymore.
