I'm not seeing this movie.  I doubt her doughy, shapeless body and baby face will carry well on the big screen.

Rebecca Romijn-wonderful movie, and she had solid acting chops.

The term "supermodel" has lost its original meaning. Anyway, fatso is nothing of the sort.

I'm glad The Other Woman finally released
Now maybe we'll quit hearing about whatsherboobs and what Cameron Diaz does or does not wash or shave all the time

Along with Gisele Bundchen and Miranda Kerr, Kate Upton is a name people know.  It used to be the Victoria Secret's models too but no one except Cheeto-stained basement dwellers know their names these days.  It's also sad that men think Kate Upton is fat.  She has boobs and hips like women often do.  The current standard of having big boobs but a small ass is nearly impossible to achieve naturally.  I don't think she's the most gorgeous ever, but I would enjoy looking like that in a bikini although that jiggle in the movie trailer looks painful.

You gotta admit, though - if you want to bang her casting her in a movie is a much better appeal to her ego than just laughing too hard at her "jokes" and telling her how her intelligence is her sexiest attribute...all while pondering future motorboatery

Linda Evangelista was a supermodel. Kate Upton inhabits some another, much lower level universe. Page 6 girl? Stripper who never gets naked?

I'm sure you're a bronzed muscley he-man, allowing you the god-like authority on separating the chunky from the rail-thin. Don't you have better things to do besides hanging on the internet, being jealous of people who get infinitely more tail than you do?

It does if they're the right cup size.

What greatness did the supermodels of old achieve? All that sort of pageantry is little more than parading cattle.

I thought I the RealDoll in Weird Science did pretty well.

I submit Elle MacPherson for you consideration. She might not be awards-worthy, but I can't recall her acting being memorably bad.

I absolutely do not find Upton attractive (tanned blonds with growths on their faces do nothing for me), but I don't think you understand either the words "supermodel" or "fatso". She's been a high-end model for years, and on the cover of far too many magazines to not have super in front of her profession, and if you think she's fat, well, maybe only in the chest. Her other parts are actually bony.

Amber Valletta isn't useless at acting. Not phenomenal, but a solid rom-com/B list movie actress. Elle McPherson was solid in that movie, Sirens. Cameron Diaz and Charlize Theron also were models before acting. There are a few out there who can not disgrace themselves onscreen.

It should be mentioned that in America these days, there's a steady stream of young men and women heading to Hollywood in the hopes of becoming a star. For every Paul Giamatti and Marcia Gay Harden, there are a few hundred former cheerleaders and disillusioned farm boys with good looks and little talent.

So, here we are, saturday morning, arguing about what makes someone a "Super" something.

Where are the Superjanitors?
Where are the Superaccountants?
That guy Harrison Ford is a Superactor!

There are pretty people that model.
There are prettier people that get paid more to model.
The term "Supermodel" is so stupid, self-absorbed and ego stroking that only a "Supermodel" could have come up with it...

I haven't figured out why people fawn all over her, calling her "curvy".

Just because a woman has a big rack does not mean she's curvy.

She'll be filling her armpits when she lays down in ten years time, so I wonder what she'll be called then.

A truly great actor or actress will invoke a response from their audience. In this case the response is in my crotch.

There are doctors then there are people like dr James Andrews. A large portion of the population (particularly sports enthusiasts) know that name.

I'm not saying models and doctors are similar professions, but it's stupid to argue about a simple term whenever the fame is apparent.

And daaayyyyuuummmm Kate's body.

Also the model in tron (not talking Wilde) added well to the esthetics of the film, so they clearly have a place in the industry

I dunno, does jiggling count as "acting"?

Yes subby, yes it does.   Even if it didn't, I bet she her acting would be on par with the other actresses and actors in the movie.  I understand that the primary concern in casting "The Other Woman" was the acting credentials of those selected.  I bet you needed 5 years experience as a Shakespearean actor and an academy award nomination just to land a spot as an extra in a high quality movie like that.

Don't know if she's a super model, but Elizabeth Hurley is apperently the only thing that can get me to sit through a Brenden Frasier movie.

This.

$250 million domestic gross, $40 million opening weekend, and on a $35 million budget is a dud?  AND those are 1989 numbers.

Elle was great in "Sirens". She actually put on weight for the movie because the beauty ideal was a little bit softer than it is now.

They're clothed in this scene but the dialog is kinda NSFW.
