JoieD'Zen: This isn't too far from Oso, where that tragic mudslide happened.
AverageAmericanGuy: OtherBrotherDarryl: Special Agent Dale Cooper is on the case.(North Bend was the town used in Twin Peaks)I was heading out for a hike up Granite Mountain and thought having some breakfast at Twede's cafe would be a good idea.Damn good coffee.
Peter von Nostrand: They happen anywhere there's a taco bell, subby
HeWhoHasNoName: I used to work in that pizza shop, back in 2007-ish (it changed ownership a few times since then and was closed for several years too). Former co-worker and I that keep in touch were joking that a can of the Deep Sauce that finally got too ripe must have gone... or C'thulu finally came to get what he was owed by the mere mortals who were using the Pizza Sauce of the Deep Ones.Place was a dive bar after 10pm. $1 bottles of Bud in a small town during the recession... we got some interesting characters, to put it nicely.New owners of the pizza shop were about a month from reopening. Also lived in the cheap, run-down apartments across the street where basically EVERY WINDOW got blown out. This is after that same complex had one of the three buildings basically gutted on Thanksgiving a few years back by a fire. The management company that owns the place now is a massive cheapskate slumlord and it took them over a year to get the rebuilding done, probably because they weren't paying the contractors. I bet they're really regretting buying that place now.The Ignite Dance & Yoga studio on the other end of that building may want to change its name if it reopens. Just sayin'.

AverageAmericanGuy: I hope the outlet mall is still okay.
Iczer: AverageAmericanGuy: I hope the outlet mall is still okay.If this is the one I think it is (for some screwy reason it feels like this happened a few days ago, not just yesterday morning), it's a ways down the road from the mall. One article had a Google Maps picture up that I was looking at of it.
