Well, good for them.  There's been a recent re-emergence of the US whiskey industry and I'm enjoying it.  Sure you get the "lets make some money quick by making rotgut with a phony backstory" types, but you have that with craft beer too.

Let's enjoy it before the neo-puritians find out and ruin it.

I tend to prefer Heaven Hill products, but good on Beam. That's a lot of booze.

I love Eagle Rare.  Definitely one of my favorites.

I was also underwhelmed by Templeton. Compared to others (my usual rye is Russell's Reserve 6 year), it looks watery and tastes just a bit too sweet.

I've had 3 for 4! I feel accomplished. Never had Pappy van Winkle's, but it is definitely on the list.

Is it just me, or does "13 million since the repeal of prohibition" not seem like a lot for a rather popular brand?

Booker's is serious. Educational, too. Since it's uncut, you really see what the barrel brings to the party.

Personally, I drink Pearl in a can, and Evan Williams Black.

The fact that it costs more than Evan Williams.

Percentage of corn in the mash, new oak barrels, aged x number of years, off the top of my head.  I resisted the urge to do the let me google that for you.
