Affleck's acting not mechanical enough?

They're gathering a lot of characters. Is it so that Affleck gets only 5 minutes screen time?

The Avengers had a lot of characters but aside from the bow and arrow guy, they introduced them all in previous movies so we didn't have to sit through 7 origin stories. I don't know wtf Cyborg is. I assume he's some manner of cyborg.

I only knew him from the animated movie Justice League: Doom, but my daughter knows him from Teen Titans: Go. Pretty decent character in the animated universe... which means WB will find some way to screw him up on the silver screen.

Also - Hawkeye did have a cameo introduction in Thor. "Do you want me to take him down, or would you rather send in more guys for him to beat up?"

Aside from the Teen Titans cartoon, Cyborg has always sucked.

I get the feeling they'll do villain glut as well, even with 'two' main protagonists on the table.

Have they learned nothing from Batman and Robin and Spider-Man 3?

It's the Spider Man 3 effect, too many things at once = farked up movie.

The way "B/S" is lining up, it's going the way of SM3.

Spider-Man 3 really only had 2 villains but the problem was we had to sit through the origins of both of them. 2 origin stories in one movie is at least 1 too many. The Avengers obviously didn't have that problem. If they skip all the origins in B vs S, it might not suck.

You're not kidding, they basically had to hold back on the show they wanted to do until after Winter Soldier was released. The new stuff makes the earlier episodes better since everything the team tried to do is now coming back to haunt them.

I agree.  It's been really good the last few episodes.  Although I was really pissed about what Ward did in the last episode.  I'm not going to spoil it here already, but anybody who watched it probably knows what I'm talking about.

Having to hold back like that certainly made it tough for them to do what they really wanted to do.  I just hope this isn't something we run into every season.  While it's nice to tie the show into events of new movies, it sucks if it forces the show to tie one hand behind its back for three quarters of every season.

I wish they'd ordered more episodes.

Now those three week hiatuses make sense.  It was timing.  But I wonder how many people the show lost.  I almost gave up.

Of course they couldn't explain what was going on without ruining surprise tie-ins.

I think they're clear. The only Shield related movie may be Cap 3, but Cap is a free agent now so who knows. They MCU seems to be moving towards outer space threats. That leaves AOS on it's own. Maybe Ultron destroys a city or two in A2 and Coulson has to clean up the mess.

I would be ok with him being Hydra's Melinda May type of agent. Just a blind loyalty to Hydra. Let the whole I love Skye thing trickle over a couple seasons. Whedon LOVES his main female lead loving a badboy. Besides all that. We still haven't found out Skye's special ability. I wonder if they are going the Inhumans route with her to set up having Quiksilver and Scarlet Witch in Ultron. It would make sense to break people into knowing this before next summer. Then again this series took so many hiatuses it lost probably half their original audience.

It makes me wonder if they can get any of that audience back. This is a situation I've never seen with a TV show. Most shows are on their own. The only recovery chance is word of mouth. "Hey, the show is awesome now!" But by that time they are usually cancelled. However Disney has an interest in keeping it going. Plus they have cool cameos from the movies that may bring back a casual viewer. Everything is in favour of it recovering somewhat.

1) Disney keeps AOS alive when most shows would die.
2) Quality is actually getting better
3) No plots likely held back now that Winter Soldier is out.
4) The dull characters are suddenly more interesting due to the plot twist.
5) More reasonable episode schedule next year.
6) Cool cameos.

Yeah, before it even premiered I predicted that it would get bad ratings but Disney would keep it on life support at least until the next Avengers. Not that the Avengers needs the publicity but having an Avengers related show get canceled wouldn't look good for the franchise.

Disney can afford to have one TV show in the red. They can just pump out a little more Star Wars crap to make up for it.

I love Teen Titans Go. It makes me laugh more often than any other show on right now.

I suspect It wouldn't work nearly as well for me though if I hadn't enjoyed the original show before watching the same, excellent, voice actors doing Go's exaggerated but similar versions of the characters in Go's crazy random world.

it's kind of interesting how dc is doing the opposite of marvel movie wise.

incremental team movies vs. individual hero movies and then a big team up.

I think the most interesting thing about this change is that it likely will mean darkseid is going to be our first justice league big bad.  Cyborgs origin doesn't really work otherwise...though I guess they could go with a generic accident + star labs tech.

He'll likely just be a brief cameo like Wolverine in First Class though.

As I subscribe to no cable television service, and as my television antenna for some reason cannot receive WHAS's signal, I must use online services to watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Unfortunately, ABC now requires "verification" that I am using one of a set of specific cable providers to watch the program, and Hulu has restricted new episodes to Hulu Plus. I am quite willing to disable my ad blocking software in order to watch the program in an advertising-supported format, but unfortunately no such option is available.

Fortunately, USENET currently requires no special verification, and offers the added bonus of presenting advertising-free episodes.

I'm sure they would copy Marvel's formula if time wasn't a factor but they're way behind Marvel and this superhero thing can't last forever. Or maybe it can I dunno.

DC secondary characters are pretty lame by comparison though.

Which begs the question:  Why don't they start the show in the late spring/early summer?  Granted, it would be a mid-season series, but at least AoS would be able to tell the stories they want to without holding back because of a major movie coming out during the spring/summer.

I wish they'd ordered more episodes.

Now those three week hiatuses make sense.  It was timing.  But I wonder how many people the show lost.  I almost gave up.

Of course they couldn't explain what was going on without ruining surprise tie-ins.

It was an interesting strategy.  Unique.

I just hope that Skye doesn't redeem Ward through the power of love

How about Ward dying before Skye ever gets the chance?
