Police said they have not found the weapon yet.

You'd think that would be one of the first things they'd ask about.

Wow, this is like Scylla and Charybdis for conservatives, stand your ground vs an unborn child.

Of course, a conservative Christian should be bound by Exodus 21:22.

I would love to read this FB argument. Was it over cake recipes or American Idol?

I am guessing it was over a man. Seems emotional.

The only solution is to cut the child in half.

It's not enough just to "like" the Jesus Footsteps, Ethel. You have to "share" or I won't get my blessing!!!

Now this is funny and exactly what FB is for. I may finally join now that I know I can shoot a biatch.

I just read the child died and the shooter's bail is at $1 million.
The article also seemed to imply she was arrested immediately after shooting the woman, like the cops were already there

Yeah talk about journalism fail. How do they not tell us that?

I may be wrong, what with my formative years having been spent in a children's home and my rudimentary education having been neglected, but from the news stories I have read recently is it not true that application of Florida law and the level of punishment are based upon the shooter's and the victim's skin colour, with extra consideration for a wide variance between the two?

2014-04-25 04:12:34 AM
Wuu, free energy!

All we need to do is hook a couple state Republicans up to a generator, and ask them which is it? Stand your ground or attempted murder of an unborn fetus?

2014-04-25 04:14:23 AM
Is there some actual REASON we want to keep Florida, or is it just that nobody's seriously looked into digging a trench between the rest of the US and that worthless piece of swampland? Because I'll start the Kickstarter campaign to blow the entire peninsula the hell off the map if anyone's at all interested.

I can't understand how grown people get so riled up over Facebook. I have seen plenty of real life fist fights that started over people talking shiat on Facebook. It is like there is something in the Facebook code that subliminally makes grown people revert to adolescence.

I dunno. As best I can tell everyone makes that argument based off George z getting off and some black lady being convicted for a similar offense*

*similar being one where she violated a court order to start shiat with someone, left the scene to get a gun, returned and fired at him with a small child in the room and a 911 tape recorded it documenting she was being told to leave......

Excellent point, except conservative Christians have repeatedly demonstrated their ability to ignore inconvenient passages in the name of the greater good.

So, if I understand correctly, the ONLY reason that ANYONE might EVER suspect that Florida law is less than entirely equitable to people of different races is based on some reading of the Zimmerman case?
Is that actually your considered, serious comment?
Your final answer?

When did it become illegal to defend yourself from violent pregnant biatches... this is the fault of the mother.... don't start physical altercations while preggerss... its not the shooters fault the crazy lady is pregnant... ect...

because it's normal for someone to DRIVE to your house and "discuss" the disagreement?

Preggo woman sounds crazy - and probably the type to hide behind the fact she was pregnant.

Does being pregnant give a black woman the right to be even MORE confrontational?  A comment on the article page made the most sense to me:

End of the month... tensions are high... at least until that government check arrives.

If we are fighting on via facebook and I show up to your house... it's pretty safe to assume I don't have good intentions.  Oh wait, I'm pregnant? I should be able to do whatever I with with zero consequences.

Some ho's boyfriend is some other ho's baby daddy and neither one is happy about it so let's get ready to ruuuummmmbbbbbble. The only tragedy here is that they both weren't armed and much better shots. I'm just surprised the media picked up the story at all considering there's nobody they can slap the racist label on. Maybe one of the hos is slightly lighter than the other one and they can call her the racist. Of course there's always the gun angle and they'll say it was a Glock instead of a 38 or a 25. Unless it was a rifle in which case it'll be an AK.

True. If you ask me though, the preggo should be charged for putting Krang in that situation to begin with. I'll bet she didn't go over there with the intention of discussing the issue calmly and rationally.

Second, the whole point of the internet is you can argue without actually leaving your house.

A woman is able to defend herself against a home invasion because she was armed and you see it as a chance to smart off to the NRA?

Interesting.

I wonder if they will charge both. Preggo endangered her fetus and other woman for a gun crime. Why is the gun missing if it was stand your ground? Something doesn't add up.

The shooter does seem to still have a facebook page. Some very interesting things there, and lots of ALL CAPS. But nothing beyond August 2012. So either she has another account, or the "discussion" took place on someone else's wall (I don't even know if this can happen), or someone got in an deleted all of the relevant info (that's my guess).
