We've got to come up with fresh sequel names, people.

Florida retirement community sinkhole 2: How holy thou art.
Florida retirement community sinkhole 2: Sunk costs.
Florida retirement community sinkhole 2: Bigger than your mom's hole.
Florida retirement community sinkhole 2: Exploring the void.

Clearly, it's someone's time in the community but they don't want to go.
Maybe residents should sleep in one of these and let nature take it's course:

I have relatives who live in The Villages - it's a seriously creepy place.

Also a privately-owned 'city' - it's some bizarro Stepfordseniorville.

Was hoping for more of a "You didn't move the bodies, you only move the headstones, didn't you?!"

I used to live in that area years ago (pre-Villages). The entire area was either fields or pastureland...and dotted with sinkholes. The whole underlying area is karst---soluble rocks, in short---which is why the sinkholes form to begin with. That's why there are so many springs in that area of central Florida.

And, yes, The Villages is a creepy place. It does not "belong" in that part of Florida.

My parents live there.  It is a strange place.  It's like Disney World for old people.  It's completely fabricated.

However, when I visit I pretty much swim, golf, shuffleboard, bocce, drink, drink, and drink the whole time so it works out well on that level.  Plus I challenge you not to drive around on a 30mph golf cart without a smile on your face.

It looks exactly like my the place my parents used to live in Sun City Center, and yes, it's weird.   I especially like how all of the local places had golf cart parking spaces.

My parents rarely used the amenities, but I used the hell out of them when I would go to visit.

Obviously this is going to take extraordinary measures. Get some taco bell....and stand back.

You think you can keep us out of Florida? We're moving in lock, stock and barrel. We're gonna be in the pool. We're gonna be in the clubhouse. We're gonna be all over that shuffleboard court. And I dare you to keep me out!

The should have tried to fill the hole with Ann Coulter or Sarah Palin.

Oh hi mom.
What do you mean you need to move in with us?
What do you mean I don't sound happy about it?

... shucks

Firefighters were called to the home around 9am on Saturday and at one point, five cement trucks lined the street to fill the hold with a sand and cement mixture.

They say they will be monitoring the whole for the next two days and if the hole stabilizes they will fill it with a cement and sand mixture.

One of the owners is in Alabama while the other is a rental property...

But even if the hole is filled, it's re-emergence has put all of the senior citizens in the community on edge.

'Its unnerving but what can you do about it?'

In this photo taken April 19, 2014, a sinkhole is seen between two homes, The Villages Daily Sun reports the homes were vacant when the sinkhole, which was already under repair, expanded Saturday

Is this a farking high school newspaper?
