Oh, sorry ma'am. I was too busy reading the road to see your kid chase a ball into the street.

Oddly enough, my last date had those phrases stitched to the crotch of her jeans.

So the kids are going to be happy if they get run over?

Was amused on the local twists of English on roadsigns when I was in Trinidad.   Highway sign will admonish drivers to 'Slow Now!"

Come for the 14-second YT clip of this sign theory using universal symbols, stay for the suggested 13.5 minute YT compilation of motorcyclists eating it over and over again.

Before I clicked on the link I thought to myself this must be in Japan.

We have signs at railroad crossing that say: "Watch Out For The Cars". I assume they mean RR cars.

Signs up in the Carolina's tell you to "burn" your headlights during a rain storm.

"Ah! Danger!" Doesn't make sense, they need to add a couple more h's so it's more like Ahhh! (as in scream) instead of Ah! (as in an positive expression of excitement, intrigue or surprise).

Ah! Donuts!

Ah! That's where MA370 is!

Ahhhh! He's coming right at me!

Ahhhh! I can't breathe! Let's try this with me on the top!

Life_is_a_carnivore: 'Avril Lavigne Kawaii Ahead' would keep me alert.

I'm not sure what that means, GIS is in order..., that's an awful lot of mascara. I'd like to wipe that off with my ween.

No, that won't work. Howabout:

There's a reason traffic signs are standardized and instantly recognizable.

And suddenly I'm thinking of a certain infamous Oh Shiat Dip in Baja Mexico (seriously, it's a well known feature on Mexico Federal Highway 5)...

I'd think a few massive speed bumps would be more effective..

That's not a bad idea..... Some really stupid drivers out there probably need that straight foreword kind of warning. It's a bit if a shame that they are needed though. It's almost like seeing the first steps to the world becoming like the movie "Idiocracy." Those who've seen it will probably agree lol.

Reactions from around the web seem to agree.

"This has a lot of impact!"
"It's nice to see this working."
"How interesting!"
"Instead of a ho-hum slogan, this is a lot more effective!"
"I like this kind of thing; I wish they would do it in Hokkaido too!"
"This idea is really good; it's bad to have kids suffering from accidents and close calls."

That sounds like the feedback from a game like Roller Coaster Tycoon when you click on the park users to see if you need more shiatters or the price of soda is too high.

Those on-ramps where two lanes merge into one, and you're supposed to set up like the teeth in a zipper, collapsing into one line. Well, mouthbreathers don't get it. It becomes a contest for everyone to scrunch up as closely to the car in front as possible and not let anyone in, in front of you.

In Maryland, the solution to that was to post a sign which said, "Alternate Right Of Way." Mouthies don't get it.

What they need to do is post a sign like, "Take turns, numbnuts, traffic will move faster if you do."
