We watched the first two episodes, and were like "Wow, this is shiat."

It was typical Sorkin drama with a ridiculous heavy-handed liberal agenda (and I say that as a liberal).  The amount of smugness when filming must have fogged up the camera lenses.

Handsome B. Wonderful: If I want to see liberals whining, I can get it for free on the internet.  Why would I pay HBO for it?

I like the Newsroom.

Just like The West Wing, it's pure wish fulfillment TV. Sort of like how 24 is for those who fap to fantasies of torture.

FlyingJ: DontMakeMeComeBackThereJust horrible, regrettable writing.

They're filming their Boston Bombing episode this week, so unless Jeff Daniels is sucked into a Time Warp & emerges in 1916, you can expect a lot of "Boston, we DIDN'T get rid of terrorists. Sorry"

Awesome...so, five minutes after they hear about the bombing, we can expect one of the producers to announce that a friend of theirs at the State Department called and told him that he knew about a couple brothers from (whereverthefark-istan) who might be involved?  AND, the government could have stopped this bombing if not for the actions of Republicans?

Benevolent Misanthrope: But the little bit I have seen looked to me like it was all the annoying parts of West Wing, and none of the good.

That is an exactly correct assessment of The Newsroom.
