Considering he's a Leifeld creation, I'd say no.

Superman?

Superman, Batman or the Flash probably, though I'm willing to bet anime is full of Mary Sues worse than any found in mainstream American comics.

Subby, you missed a perfect chance for a Geordie LaForge headline, which would have been way more appropriate.

I give you a respectful nerdly nod for your attempted X-Men ref, but, you done messed up son.

Okay, one joke. (More like an addition to the list of references)

The artificial implant in Pontz's left eye is part of a system developed by Second Sight that includes a small video camera and transmitter housed in a pair of glasses.
Images from the camera are converted into a series of electrical pulses that are transmitted wirelessly to an array of electrodes on the surface of the retina. The pulses stimulate the retina's remaining healthy cells, causing them to relay the signal to the optic nerve.
The visual information then moves to the brain, where it is translated into patterns of light that can be recognized and interpreted, allowing the patient to regain some visual function.

Nah, DC characters are almost always godlike. DC is about gods trying to be men, Marvel is about men trying to be gods. Except for Batman and Thor, obviously...

With those glasses which encase the lens, more like Geordi La Forge.

Actually, it would be cool if he had an alternate set that looked like that character's lens.
Since the public is familiar with the character, they'd be good with it...hell, he might even gain some fans.

That was his his name, I recall, during Mutant Massacre from Memories of Future Past. When they established that in the Xtreme future, everyone's superpower was having a really big laser gun with multiple barrels. Mary Sue Cable, lover of Mammose Mabel.

Apocalypse was introduced to the virus from a young Nathan Summers, calling himself the Traveler. In a battle between Traveler and Apocalypse, they were both cut and Ozymandias, Apocalypse's servant, had Apocalypse's body returned to the newly found Celestial Ship, that Apocalypse, at that time, could not understand or communicate with. With Traveler's blood mixed with the Techno-Organic Virus and his own, Apocalypse was healed in a chamber of the ship and, infected with the virus, could then understand the ship. Years later, Apocalypse used the virus to infect Nathan Christopher Charles Summers as an infant, leading to his transport to the future and his growing up to be Cable. It was possible that Apocalypse used this knowledge of past/future events to infect infant Nathan Summers so that he himself would become Apocalypse in the past.

Actually, one of the most difficult aspects of time travel is the grammar.  Try explaining what already happened next Thursday years ago to someone and you begin to see the problem.

You end up with future present tense, past future tense, and present past future tense (something happening right now that already happened in the future).  Of course, future perfect tense gets thrown right out the door because it never is.

This kind of thing is why I never got into the X books in any real depth.  Convolutions on top of convolutions buried under retcons and mixed with a healthy dose of soap opera and a liberal sprinkling of WTF.

Seriously... I mean, I'm amused by other comments, but my sister was in an accident a few years back and she could really use something like this. She hasn't lost ALL her vision due to the brain injury, but she can't really recognize new faces when she sees them again, and she definitely can't see very well. It's kind of heart breaking.

This is why im glad Marvel doesnt have the movie rights to X-men, theres just too much going on there, makes for too crowded a universe, even Marvel admitted as much with Decimation. I mean if Marvel Studios had the rights, would we be getting a Guardians of the Galaxy movie at this point, or a second Cable movie...
