If I'm reading that story right (and it's Deadspin so.....maybe?), this may be appropriate:

Again? And to the same batter?

Here's what happened:

It's kind of a dick move to go back in time and say "you walked" or "you struck out" based on a pitch that happened several pitches ago and was reviewed (think of it if you were allowed to review  a play several plays ago in football - your strategy totally changes depending on the outcome of a review). So they said "oh sh*t" and decided to give both parties a chance to get the result they want.

As with all times you try to compromise, everyone gets upset.

We need the fark mods to use replay on greenlighted links. The human element will still allow for unfunny links

So you're saying they were incompetent only once or twice in a five minute span rather than three or four times. Well, that's all I ask for in a professional umpire. Game on!

If this is a repeat and gets canned, will my post have ever existed?

I do like replay in baseball so far as I think watching a manager argue for 10 minutes, then get tossed with nothing changing was extremely dumb.

Though Ron Washington getting ejected arguing the transfer rule after the play had already be overturned by replay was hilarious.

And that rule is one that I think will need to change or at least be clarified as it has been called differently than it reads for quite some time. But ya, arguing a call to the point of getting tossed is, in most cases, just a waste of time. I would rather see a 5 minute exchange that results in a correct call, instead of 3 minutes of a managerial temper tantrum that has a wrong call stand. Though the postgame meltdowns are still funny.
