When we were kids my great grandmother used to send us out to pick dandelions for her salad. Think she just used the leaves though.

Citation needed.

The piece is gumpf based on gumpf being pushed by folks surprisingly not disinterested in selling gumpf for a profit to dingbats who lack the critical faculties necessary to spot gumpf.

Gumpf.

On reading these comments, a cry a-rose from my two-lips:
"These daffy-dil-ettantes with their murderous puns will croak-us all! Worse still the rest with their "how dandy!"-lyin' praise. Even our hardy mums protest."

Och! I pine for better days but we'll not see-dere like again. I may-pull for closing this thread.

I need an alcoholic IV.

Irresponsible article

Quotes the super discredited dr mercola, who should not be encouraged.

Also neglects to mention the dangers in eating commercial flowers, especially roses, which are one of the worst flowers in teems of chemical pesticides, because they are so prone to insects, they are often sprayed to shiat.

I eat artichokes, broccoli, and cauliflower all the time.

Oh, they just mean open, pretty ones people use to eat. I eat nasturtiums. They actually taste good and grow pretty fast. Leaves and flowers go great in salad.

Your great grandmother??  Hell, my dad had us do that.  He'd mix the greens with vinegar and bacon.  Never tried it myself.  I might though.

"We think these may help reduce the risk of heart disease"

This is exciting news, pistil my beating heart !

I do wonder if TFA is rooted in fact or if the authors will simply turn another leaf.

Yeah, nasturtiums are good. kinda peppery. pretty in the garden in the meantime.

So long as you buy organic ones, roses are perfectly fine. I once had rose petals and candied ginger dipped together into dark chocolate (because I COULD), and it was delicious.

/also drinks chamomile tea, it tastes like apple blossoms smell
