I love it when police try to put on the friendly face with community policing PR campaigns despite being have a acrimonious history with the public they should serve.

If police are going to circle wagons around their blue lines PR won't help.

Somehow I find myself reading an article on CHINESE STUDENTS IN AUSTRALIA ARE SPIES!!!

And I'm all "huh?". Then I scroll up and see it's tacked on to the end of the NYPD Twitter article. But the Quartz link said I had clicked on the CHINESE SPIES!!! article. WTF? This happen to anyone else?

Phew. For a moment I thought it might have been China's fault. China's fault for abusing Australia's welcoming immigration policy and generous multicultural ways. But luckily it's White People's fault.

"Australia is now ramping up its counter-intelligence program. But one reason there are so many Chinese spies in Australian universities might be that the schools haven't created welcoming communitiesfor visiting international students, said the Herald report."

HA!!!

OWS was a complete failure... at least for those doing the so-called occupying.
For the rest of us who actually work for what we have, it was a splendid dish of meat, followed by something else made from animal flesh for dessert. Perhaps a bacon/chocolate flour-less tart, or a chicken cheese cake. Or maybe...oh I think I have confused these people for PETA.

Or have I?

It's not legal to wear a disguise in public and that's an anti-Klan law so any pissant douchebag that wants to break it is looking for a billy club shampoo. If they could split some lips and knock out some teeth while they're at it all the better. Of course its a good law when applied to kluckers but a terrible injustice when the left wingers are trashing a city like the battle in Seattle or occupy wall street. Funny how laws apply to everyone though.

When is it ever applied to teabaggers?
I can't think of a single time. No matter how often they break out the guns and threaten government agents. Something no OWS'er ever did.

It wasn't entirely fair, but teabaggers gave off this entire different feel, life isn't entirely fair either. Many were older, and when they were strapped with ar15's over their shoulder in photos, I remember them in parks, often sitting in folding lounge chairs. Until they get angry enough to start shooting, the whole thing felt more like a well organized guided-tour protest.

With regard to OWS or whatever leftwing protest group it is, American don't know how to riot and police really don't need to pull out their bearcats and riot gear and the double-standard it isn't fair. This may not apply to the rare anarchist group causing trouble and that is not common.

However comparing OWS and teabaggers, they are two completely different animals in my opinion. However it would be interesting to see what happens to an OWS protestor with an ar15 strapped on his back.

This isn't a final answer, just ideas.

To be fair, he isn't trying to stir up trouble as an undercover, he isn't shooting teargas at people's skulls, he probably is getting some badly needed rest to help him deal with a stressful situation.

Never heard of this incident, but I just had to Google this c*unt's name. Seems like the wheels of justice are still turning.... just.

But in a decision issued Friday, Justice Joan B. Lobis of State Supreme Court ordered that Inspector Bologna submit to an interview by the Civilian Complaint Review Board, an independent city agency that investigates police misconduct.

Inspector Bologna appeared before the review board in August but declined to answer any questions. Police officers are typically required to submit to interviews by the civilian complaint board. But Inspector Bologna's position was that an 18-month time limit for initiating disciplinary proceedings against civil servants had already passed.

Justice Lobis rejected that argument, and the decision represents a significant victory for the review board's investigative powers. Justice Lobis ruled that the case falls under an exception for investigations involving possible crimes.

Funny how laws apply to everyone though.

That's a photo of an ATF agent (read the yellow tag on his right chest). You know, the guys that for the most part are the ones tasked with protecting Americans from gun toting right-wing lunatics. Of course they're going to be heavily armed.

Average Americans are dicks. Like, 'get pissed off and beat your head in' dicks. The bar for entry into the police force should be a good deal higher than "average."

If that "anarchist" had been on a horse and waved the stars 'n stripes, the cop would have been the symbol of tyranny.

But instead, he's dressed in black, with his faced covered, just like a real patriot.  BTW, which "protest" group wears black?

So because I believe it's good to be kinder to poor people and its good to punish then regulate people who cause economic collapses through their lies, I am Hitler. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200, you are either a right-wing patriot...or the worst humans to ever exist. Nothing in between there, not a single shade of grey.

You do know that Hitler was responding to a (at least in his mind) global conspiracy by Jews to keep non-Jews poor debt-slaves, don't you? He was working for the common man. He was trying to help the poor. Why do you hate the poor? Why don't you want to help them?

PS. The entire history of progressive liberalism (as opposed to classical liberalism) is one of fewer and fewer rights and more and more government control. Along with it comes harsher penalties for even the most minor infraction... it's the only way to prevent revolt.

Since less government and less taxes mean the Robber Baron era, then yes you do want similar.

More government always leads to diminished rights because by it very nature it means more power to government less to people.  Left wing people are against many "rights" like school choice, gun rights  free speech that id not politically correct (hate speech) etc.

You have this backwards. By its very nature, less government leads the rich and powerful to have free reign to oppress others

Left wing people are more interested in being cared for by government ("free stuff" they redefine as rights) than being free.

Free stuff? You mean like tax breaks for corporations, not having to pay taxes to support a civil society, massive defense spending, and on and on?

Freedom is hard because it involves too much self responsibility and self reliance for left wing people to handle-easier to be cared for.

Self responsibility? So you think it is up to you, a single person, to be responsible and self reliant to some how enforce your freedoms and rights so that others more rich and powerful than you don't abuse their position of power? How much more delusional can the right get?
