I assume he tied it to the side of the truck and, by the time he got home, stray dogs had picked it clean.

Ex-Texan: I'm guessing it's something like an extended cab or some such junk. A real full sized bed is 8 feet, not like those trucks nowadays that have 4 doors for the brats, and a small bed. I should know. I have a restored 1977 Silverado in my garage. A full size will at least fit a full sheet of plywood in the back, many trucks nowadays will not.

I remember when the ads bragged that their truck would fit a sheet of plywood BETWEEN the wheel wells, or that THEIR compact truck would fit a sheet of plywood with the bed closed.

Now?  Yeah you're right   Now it is "OUR truck offers all of the luxury benefits of our SUV but there's an external bed pouch where the Sav-A-Lot can forklift that 50lb bag of dogfood because no human could be arsed to lift anything 4' up because we need gigantic ground clearance and 22" chrome wheels for your mall crawler"

How the hell did they get it in the damn truck?

And I have no objection to them killing the shark as it's legal and they're going to eat it, and I don't think makos are endangered, though I'm not sure.
