In the minute-long clip published to the BBC's YouTube channel, Kanzi is shown building a fire. The bonobo breaks debris and wood before piling the pieces neatly.

Whoa, building a fire? Like this ape could get a scouting merit badge?

He then lights a match and uses a small branch to ignite the fire.

That's not nothing - the planning and dexterity needed to build the kindling pile, the needed knowledge of fire and how it works, the ability to make it all happen without additional human help - but "building a fire" implies some method of making fire without modern contrivances (like matches). This is more like "lighting a fire" - like your backyard grill.

If you put your average person out in the backyard without a match would they be able to light a fire? no, no they wouldn't.
