I know two things about Supertroopers, Brian Cox can sell any roll and snozzberry guy married Christina Hendricks.

My "Super Troopers" CSB was when the Broken Lizard dudes came to my university to do a screening about two weeks before the theatrical release. They made a Wayne's World joke that flopped, and they said "Guess you guys are too young for that one, eh?"

My second "Super Troopers" CSB was that the opening scene was filmed on a road near where I live that I used to drive down all the time.

Have these guys done anything that matches up to Super Troopers? I remember club Dread or something, but it was universally hailed as a shiat sandwich on shiat bread with shiat mayonnaise and a pickle.

The Slammin' Salmon is pretty funny, mostly because of Michael Clarke Duncan though.

Sounds like Soter.  We used to have bits in the a cappella group that were getting dated when we tried them in high schools we visited.  Like a whole intro based on those terrible commercials for kids games like Connect Four and Battleship.

CSB:

This movie came out right about the time I started smoking the reefer.  I saw this movie in a packed house while blazed, and have never laughed harder before or since at a movie.  Literally fell out of my seat at one point.  Seemed I was in good company because the whole theater seemed to have the same reaction I did.  They haven't done anything I've liked since, but for this one movie they will always have my respect.

I really do love that movie. And I like the fact that I discovered it in my own. Nobody talked about it, nobody praised it. I just watched it one day when I had that unlimited blockbuster rentals for $20 bucks thing.

I watched a ton of crap, but there were some nuggets in there.

/also experienced death to smoochy that way.

Nope.

They're one hit wonders.   Saw an interview with them a few years ago, most seemed to have suffered the Hollywood effect in full.  Really up on themselves,  maybe too many drugs.    Whatever the reason, their successive movies were all complete crap.

This article talks about their plans for a Super Troopers sequel.  Seems they still lack funding for it, and that's probably a good thing.

CD came on the heels of ST and it was a disappointment.  Beerfest was better but in the end a forgettable movie.

Super troopers rocked, beerfest is where I learned to turn the boot, and club dredd was when I learned the lizards were broken.

Back at ya.  They were mostly filming on the westbound side of the road, as you head towards Rte 9 in Sleepy Hollow/Ossining (that deep red/brown colored overpass appears several times).  I remember driving east as they were filming the cop car peeling out, jamming on the brakes then going in reverse and wondering that the hell was going on.  As it turned out, it was the opening scene.

The skid marks they left on the road were there for quite a while.

Club Dredd has some funny bits, but you have to wade through a lot of shiat to get to them.

Beerfest was good. I've watched it almost as many times as Super Troopers. Slammin' Salmon was worth the watch. Club Dread isn't the worst movie I've ever seen but I wouldn't say to go out of your way to see it (the Jimmy Buffett jokes cracked me up).
