The first time I saw one of these commercials on the TV, I was waiting to see the Energizer Bunny or something else interrupt it because I was convinced there was no way that it could be for real.

Same.
And then when it ended without incident, I sighed and then thought to myself: dear God, I really am stuck in the midwest now...

Working on a sex farm
Trying to raise some hard love
Getting out my pitch fork
Poking your hay

Scratching in your hen house
Sniffing at your feedbag
Slipping out your back door
Leaving my spray

Sex farm woman, I'm gonna mow you down
Sex farm woman, I'll rake and hoe you down
Sex farm woman, don't you see my silo rising high?

Working on a sex farm
Hosing down your barn door
Bothering your livestock
They know what I need

Working up a hot sweat
Crouching in your pea patch
Plowing through your bean field
Planting my seed

Sex farm woman, I'll be your hired hand
Sex farm woman, I'll let my offer stand
Sex farm woman, don't you hear my tractor rumbling by?

Working on a sex farm
Trying to raise some hard love
Getting out my pitch fork
Poking your hay

You're overestimating the number of family farms that still exist.

The "farmers only" thing is a dog whistle to keep small-town morons (their true targets) from hooking up with someone in a city.

Funny how Fark has no problem stereotyping southerner/farmers as sheepfarkers.... Yet if this were a dating site for middle easterners and someone posted a picture of a camel, you all would lose your shiat.

I wonder who their advertisers are. I wouldn't be surprised to find that they're the same fine companies who sell survivalist gear and gold -- the Beck and Limbaugh advertisers.

Probably.

Anyway, if anyone wants to know who killed the family farm, I'll be happy to spill the secret. It was the family farmers themselves who sold the land to make more money than they could being a farmer or their children who inherited said farm but had no intention of being farmers. There - that's ninety percent of the death of the family farm right there. No, your ancestors having been farmers does not guarantee you the right to do what they did. You gots to compete against the other competitors in the marketplace like everyone else. You either can or you cannot but your chosen vocation does not warrant special protection.

Ooh - polyphonic dog whistle, and in a commercial that probably cost about $39 to film. That's pretty damn efficient.

Never said I was a republican (I'm not). And you didn't provide an explanation. You just tried to insult me. No one likes to be stereotyped, and yet, everyone stereotypes southerners. I don't understand why it's ok when we try to promote equality around here.

I saw the commercials here in NJ, I was wondering, who are they advertising to here since we don't have many farms. Maybe the Piney inbreeds? But why would they need a website to fark their sisters or cousins?

For those of you who don't know, Pineys are the rednecks in New Jersey, they typically live in the southern part of the state (south of Rt 195), teeth missing, morons who put $10K worth of upgrades on a $2,000 POS pick up tuck.
