Voiceofreason01: welp, time to bust out the strait razor
change1211: Or just use an electric razor, they're far less terrible to use.
Gig103: Even better than Dollar Shave Club is buying a DE safety razor. They're $30 or less online, and blades go from $0.08-$0.30 each if you buy in bulk. The shave is closer than a cartridge, too, in my experience.
enry: a Braun for days when I feel lazy.
Doctor Funkenstein: FTFA: the ProGlide FlexBallWell, the name definitely screams, 'you can shave your nuts with this.'
Relatively Obscure: I only shave with personally-knapped flint blades and a balm I make from the bark of trees I planted as a toddler./there

ajgeek: This isn't Ameican Ingenuity. This is some farking moron giving another farking moron with a business degree oversight of an engineering team./Simpsons did it.
What. The. Fark?
Rhypskallion: I use a rechargeable electric razor, that was probably $50-$80 two years ago and still works great. Why is there a blade industry at all anymore?
rnatalie: Dollar Shave Club is cheap, too bad their products sucks ass. I've had countless of their cartridges self destruct during use including a couple that fell apart just extracting them from the package. I gave up and cancelled and went back to the Fusion blades. At COSTCO it isn't too bad.The Fusion styler is actually one of the better things they came up with (if you ignore the idiotic razor blade adapter for it and just use the trimmer part).
LazyMedia: I buy the disposable Gillette Sensor 3. There was a huge increase in comfort when they went to twin blades, a noticeable increase when the Sensor came out with independently floating blades, and a marginal increase in three blades over two. I shave only 3-4 days a week, so I use about one razor a month. Oh, and I use cream hair conditioner instead of shaving cream; something I picked up from watching Queer Eye; it really makes a much better and cheaper shaving cream than the foamy or gel stuff.
FormlessOne: What. The. Fark?Honestly, Gillette, if I didn't know any better, I'd almost assume that you were pulling this kind of shiat specifically to drive people away from such silly-ass products. Even The Onion can't mock you any more than you mock yourselves, and that's saying something.Gig103: Even better than Dollar Shave Club is buying a DE safety razor. They're $30 or less online, and blades go from $0.08-$0.30 each if you buy in bulk. The shave is closer than a cartridge, too, in my experience.Cannot be stated strongly enough. I use a Merkur Classic, and I buy Astra Superior Platinum blades in boxes of 100. About 10 cents or so a blade, each of which lasts for about a week of daily wet shaves. Gillette's ridiculous pricing, and the industry's assiduous greed in chasing those prices, drove me back to DE safety razors, and I haven't regretted it.If you're worried about disposal, here's a simple solution. Buy something in a metal can with a resealable plastic cover - I prefer wasabi peas. Once empty, cut a rectangular slit in the top of the cover, and you have a recyclable, metal container that you can drop into a recycle bin once it's full. Keep it under your sink, change your blade once a week, and you're good to go. Takes a couple of years to fill one can.
