I'm so old I saw the Depp movie previews and thought of "Donovan's Brain" a potboiler from the 1950's that starred Nancy Reagan when she was Nancy Davis. It IS the same basic story.

Does anyone know if merchandising for CA2 had brought a usb drive similar to the one in the movie?

I want something like this, but not if it's going to be a 2 GB piece of crap they'll charge 30 bucks for.

Welp, there it is, two-nil. In all honesty, Everton were unlucky to only have two and Utd were lucky to have nil.

...this season has been so bad, I'm running out of gallows humor. I'll be glad when this bloody season is over.

I'm really happy they gave Cap his true power level in this movie. Cap is and always was a badass, and this movie truly showed what he can do when he wants to. The escape from Shield was a high point in terms of Cap being the badass he is, from the elevator fight all the way to taking out the plane on the motorcycle.

Haven't seen Heaven is for Real, but when even my spouse is ready to shell out the bucks to see it over Captain America 2, it must be something to see.  I'll report back later.

The book was a fun and interesting read, but I have a hard time seeing how it translates into a movie. Expect to be let down.

I saw 50 to 1. Not bad. I'm probably the only farker (farkette?) who'll watch a horse racing movie though.

Met part of the cast afterwards. Skeet Ulrich is hotttttttttttttttttttttt. Extremely nice, too. Why haven't I watched anything of his since Scream?

Yep.. and the team hasn't figured it out yet.. makes one wonder if he'll get into Skye's panties before they figure it out, so he can yell 'Hail Hydra' as he comes in her..

I just watched the episode with Lorelai again amd it seems pretty clear that he told Lorelai about Hydra, and that he tried to shoot Mei after he was no longer mind controlled.

It was enjoyable. I love sports movies.

One major flaw...

1. In this universe Andrew luck exist
2. They reference the redskins trading three ones for number 2 (don't name RG3).
3. Redskins are said to have contacted browns for Superman (tom welling plays incumbent QB).

So why the hell would a team that traded three ones for RG3 be looking for a new QB through trade?

Religious movies do well on Sunday; so does that mean that some religious people are going to movies as an alternative to church? I'd figure the film industry will handle their tithes more responsibly, at least.

Maybe Johnny Depp should kiss and make up with Tim Burton. He's not doing to good on his own unless there are pirates involved. Then again Dark Shadows didn't exactly blow anyone's skirt up.

I'm a little sad they didn't make it obvious that May and Ward had their own agendas (and obviously make it a bit mysterious who is working for Fury and who is HYDRA). Ward's got some edge to him now at least.

That's what surprised me about the Agents of SHIELD episode where Mike was re-introduced as an enhanced hero type. They meet him as he's just finished sprinting across a field pushing a bulldozer backwards ahead of him. He asks "Did I beat Captain America's time?"  and the guy says "not even close".  Wouldn't have thought Cap would be up to that strength level, though these things change so often in comics that it's hard to keep up.

That's Batman, Cap is a superhuman because of the super soldier serum.
Even when he is written at his weakest he is far stronger and faster than any normal person could be.

Johnny Depp has become box office poison. The last great Tim Burton movie was "Big Fish", which also the last he's done without Depp. And I don't think it's coincidental that Pirates of the Caribbean started going downhill as they focused more on Jack Sparrow.

Cap is an enhanced human like Deathstroke, but most people see him as star-spangled Batman thanks to crossovers like JLA/Avengers.

I always thought of Iron Man as a bit more analogous to Batman.  Smart rich guy has a bunch of fancy toys to do stuff with... Well, I guess that's about as far as it goes, really. Beyond the parents being dead...

Because reasons. Specifically, Daniel Snyder.

While the last 2 were not very good, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies still made a shiat-ton of money. Not sure that lends weight to your "box office poison" argument.

In Winter Soldier he makes a comment about a slow time going 13 miles in 30 minutes. Or 26 MPH for a half marathon. He basically ran Usain Bolt's speed for a half marathon. So he is very fast.

Fast, sure. But the point of the test in the Agents of SHIELD show was that the guy was pushing a BULLDOZER (apparently set in "park") ahead of him on a grass field as he ran, and Cap did it much faster.  Cap  may be fast, but that's getting into "squats with a minibus on your shoulders" strength which is much more Hulk territory.
