Awesome!

Isn't the Denver RTD due for some new rail cars?

2014-04-20 08:33:37 AM
That's life: some people buckle down and train harder for next year. Others fuss with the deck chairs or complain the streetlights shine too brightly.

2014-04-20 10:32:42 AM
Or: Less than a hundred people are angry over an otherwise meaningless color scheme, and people in Seattle who derive way to much personal identity from a local sports team are taking the opportunity to make themselves feel better at the expense of others.

/and this is coming from the guy named jayhawk88

Seattle, the most butt hurt of all the Superbowl winners.

Nice job San Fran. Way to prioritize:

In the meantime, Bay Area residents will have plenty of chances to complain about the Seahawks colors at a series of public viewings.

'Niner's home games, 2014-2017?

2014-04-20 10:59:30 AM
But if they make them Niners and/or Giants colors people will complain that they're too "70's-looking."  Fashion will prevail.

Just a subtle reminder that SF is Seattle's biatch.

2014-04-20 11:07:08 AM
Seahawks fans bashing thread? Fark hasn't had one in at least a few hours, so I believe we are due.

Oh, those Seahawks fans...it's like they haven't had much to cheer about in a long time.

BART serves a metropolitan area, not just San Francisco, so it's not like the money would be spent on homeless people. BTW, they spend more than any other city on that crap anyway, for all the good it does.

So they should spend even more money on the homeless?  Every city I've been to that spends a lot on the homeless has a bigger homeless problem than those that don't.  Those who want to get out of being homeless have plenty of opportunities to in a city like SF. Easy access to food, shelter, and social services.  If they are still sleeping on the street there's not much spending more money will do.

Leave them as they are. People put their ass in them, they puke and sweat and funk all over them. Why would you want people to shiat all over your team colors?

To be fair, those colors are ugly regardless of who wears them.

That's OK... Chevrolet, part of GM, based out of Detroit Michigan, insisted on naming two vehicles the Colorado and Avalanche, right in the midst of the bitter rivalry between the Detroit Red Wings and the, um, Colorado Avalanche.

I'm guessing whatever GM exec that made those decisions was from Denver.

Not surprisingly, those models did not sell well in southeast Michigan.

GIS is all lies! Ugh.

At any rate, it goes to show how out of touch some execs at GM became, to offend its biggest regional market like that.

The new trains are not yet in service and aren't scheduled to be in use until after testing in 2017...

...when the Seahawks and Niners will probably be closer to 7-9 again due to NFL's cyclical format, the rivalry will subside and this petitioning dude will be able to sit down on BART without risking his ever-so-sensitive buttocks bursting aflame.

Remember, folks.  If you ignore the homeless and they go somewhere else, problem solved!  Out of sight, out of mind!  Am I right?

This would imply that its actually a challenge or a close fight.

I would think the fashion police would have arrested anyone who would select these colors.

They must have hired the guy that designed Windows Metro.

Well, maybe when BART goes anywhere near where the 49ers play, they can complain.
Until then, Raiders fans have a legit beef that they didn't paint them black.

This is Fark, where if you're a Seahawks fan and you disagree with anyone about anything, there are five people waiting in the wings to call you butthurt and whiny.

Pretty much, the closest team to SF is the Raiders now. The Niners belong to the South Bay now.

FTFA: As of 10:15 a.m. Saturday, just more than 85 people had signed the online petition.

This was definitely worthy of an article in a major newspaper. Definitely not pathetic at all.

are aldon smith & chris culliver signers of the petition? it'd be a smart move for them to use public transit.

Nope. Niners open up their new stadium this season in Santa Clara. BART doesn't go that far down the Peninsula.

And just a bit to the north and west of it is the peninsula that forms the western shore of the San Francisco Bay. BART's southernmost point on that peninsula is Milbrae, about 3/4 the way down from San Francisco. Therfore, BART doesn't travel that far down on the peninsula to reach Santa Clara.

Also, Bay natives call the western portion of the Bay Area, 'The Peninsula'.

And Santa Clara isn't near the Penisula. San Jose isn't far down the Penisula either, it's in the Valley. It's like saying Santa Clara is far down the East Bay or SF is far up the Valley. You said something that made no sense and now are acting like I'm not for the area. That kind do dipshiat smug attitude makes you sound like you're for SF.
