FirstNationalBastard: God, I miss pot.Stupid federal laws. Stupid companies drug testing for no good reason. Stupid people still believing the Reefer Madness bullshiat decades after it was disproven.
b0rscht: /all hail weedlord bonerhitler
MayoSlather: I haven't smoked much pot in my life, but I've enjoyed the hell out of it. Wish I knew a dealer.
InterruptingQuirk: Pot is poison with enjoyable side effects.
Johnny Texas: FirstNationalBastard: Stupid companies drug testing for no good reason.Maybe it's unnecessary in your industry, but I'd consider leaving mine if they stopped random drug testing. I work in a heavy manufacturing environment where almost everybody in the plant is operating equipment that can kill if used incorrectly. I have no issue with people getting high on their own time, but the problem with too many stoners is they don't see a problem with having a couple hits before work or while on lunch.
Johnny Texas: FirstNationalBastard: However, office drones, retail monkeys, people who aren't operating heavy equipment or driving... No reason to test them at all.Wouldn't an office drone be less productive if they were getting blazed before work?
shanrick: Most marijuana smokers are Negroes, Hispanics, jazz musicians, and entertainers. Their satanic music is driven by marijuana, and marijuana smoking by white women makes them want to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and others. It is a drug that causes insanity, criminality, and death - the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind.
basemetal: Stoners aren't up yet......
Dinki: I have Crohns. Pot is the only thing I've found to make a significant impact on the symptoms without any serious side effects. Of course since I live in NY i have to break the law to use it. But frankly, I don't give a shiat. The laws will change, everyone knows it.
nekom: This seems like as good a thread as any to mention jury nullification. You don't have to follow the judge's instructions at all. Don't EVER let a judge know that you've heard of it, but just quietly do your duty as a juror, as the final line of defense against ridiculous laws. I couldn't sleep at night knowing that I had a part in sending someone to prison for being in possession of a relatively harmless plant./never been called for jury duty
xanadian: like, happy easter, man...
nekom: change1211:Wouldn't this be seen as being in contempt of court?I don't think so. There was a high profile trial just a few years ago, I believe for contempt, of a person who was passing out literature explaining the right to people outside of a courthouse, and I believe that person did win. Despite the judge's instructions, your obligation as a juror is to render a verdict. You can base that on anything you god damn well please and you are under no obligation to explain yourself. If the "crime" is one that you believe it ridiculous to imprison someone over, you have the right and I dare say the obligation to acquit. No judge in this country will ever tell you that, and if you even hint towards it in the slightest your ass is getting booted from any jury.
ZAZ: How long have I been on Fark? I remember when drug references were a way to get a thread deleted.
