Mike Trout fail? Hook, line and sinker, subby.

This is news?  There are plenty of guys who've gone longer than he has without doing so.  And even more who never had 352 games to do it.

This warrants a thread? I don't like baseball but no way can this be a big deal in that sport. If it is, well that might be why I don't pay attention to baseball until late October.

This is where the end begins. He'll be washed up and out of the game by July.

I never struck out more than twice in a game. I'm better than Mike Trout

Right? Seriously, he might be the best player I've ever seen with my own 2 eyes, but it's too early to really tell.

Bravely leading them to a sub 500 record. Maybe they should go spend a few more hundred million on some free agents, that will surely fix their problems

Just because the two will be forever linked:

Miguel Cabrera first did it in his 40th game.

Damn you! I came here to do a Miggy joke too.

/Cabrera has had 3 Golden Sombreros*, so he's the better player
//*stat pulled from ass
///actually, so far Miggy has looked like a slugger on the wrong side of 30 who just got a fat deal
////like Pujols and Hamilton

It's actually 2. Cabrera doesn't strike out a ton; the flip side is that he grounds into a lot of double plays: he's got the 7th most of any active player, and most of the guys in front have played a lot longer.

Can we get a Slate article discussing how racist the term "golden sombrero" is?
