The pranksters may now face misdemeanor charges of disturbing the peace and being a public nuisance.

And they all moved back on the Group W bench and they all had a good time talking about mother rapin' and father stabbin' and all kinds of things.

That's no fun. You can't have a child abduction shindig without a rape/murder.

These two idiots were filming a prank, just like all their other videos, and when they got busted they started calling it an "awareness video". Complete bullshiat. If they had two brain cells to rub together they'd be ashamed. If they had tried that bs in Texas or any other heavily armed state, they'd be dead. And our gene pool would be better for it.

Comedy gold.

Needs to be on one of those hidden camera shows.  They should do it again, film crowd reactions.

Nope, they called it in to police to warn them BEFORE filming and said it was a documentary.  They didn't give enough notice, but they did NOT change their story after getting caught.

Might I recommend against shooting at a person carrying a child? Beat the shiat out of him though.

They called a couple minutes before they started filming. To save their asses when someone called 911. I watched an interview with these yahoos on the Seattle news. They are disingenuous punks.

Can we also crucify the stepmother, who would willingly put the child through a terrifying situation instead of just talking to the kids about it?

Also, wasn't this on an episode of that show about people preparing for the apocalypse? The father wanted to abduct the children but the mom was against it.

I was once in county lockup with an asian dude with that color hair. He got stuck with the nickname Rufio. Even the guards started calling him Rufio.

Reminds me of one of those "What Would You Do" video series one of the major networks did some years back. There was an animatronic baby crying in the back of a locked car. There was a Black woman being searched by a store owner and detective "because all you people steal". Someone shorted a blind person on change. Most of them had several takes with different groups of citizens.

One of them didn't.

A man was dragging a recalcitrant 6-8 year old along. People looked, shrugged and turned away.

Then she said "Help! He's not my Daddy!"

Three young men going in completely different directions stopped what they were doing. One of them left his car idling in the middle of the road. The instinctively packed up without saying a word. One broke left. The second broke right. The third started heading up the middle. They had suddenly turned into three scary looking man-hunting mofos.

Just as they got within range the girl struck a pose and smiled. The man smiled and spread his arms, and the cops across the way stepped out and waved.

And it's a damned good thing because in my considered professional opinion those three guys were about to beat the actor to death.

It was a dumb prank but the parent that said "My daughter is still terrified," Barnett told The Daily Mail. "She's like, 'What if they take me?'" doesn't truly appreciate the lesson their child just learned.
Kids should be scared of getting taken, walking in traffic, touching hot stoves etc.

/alternate life lesson of 'don't be a dumbass' added at no extra charge.

So 4,600 kids are abducted by strangers every year?  That's more than I expected.  It's almost half as many as are shot by guns every year.

2014-04-19 11:00:02 PM
Ahh, the old 'stranger danger' thing. Thanks to this little tidbit of fear mongering, most people under the age of 25 are terrified of everyone on the planet except their mom and dad. Of course, most child abuse/abduction is from a family member, but why stop a good cash cow/scare tactic/advertisement in the name of facts?

"My daughter is still terrified,  She's like, 'What if they take me?'"

My daughter made that same sad little plea to me one night when I told her I was going to be leaving her alone for a little while, and indeed, I did feel kind of bad about leaving her.

It put something of a damper on happy hour, but being a parent means making sacrifices.

Howabout split the difference? Two asskickings a day for the rest of their miserable lives.

All this fear mongering about children being adbucted by strangers is just a smokescreen to blind us the the real danger of abduction faced by children:

I think its worse than that.  Thanks to this fak'n fear mongering just talking to a child can get you thrown in jail.  I'm still pissed off when some asshole came up to me and asked me how I knew the kid I was with (which was my fark'n nephew I was taking to the childrens theatre) and then preceded to ask the kid if he was frightened (of course he was - some batshiat crazy women he didn't know was yelling at us).  I told the woman to go fark off (trust me - his father uses worse language) who then ran off somewhere.

Maybe in your neck of the woods, everyone is packing heat.

There still is the problem of hitting the abductor without hurting the child.

Are you feeling lucky?  Are you really that good of a marksman?

DNRTFA but I think I saw this story a couple of days ago.  Everyone was pissed and one bystander said he would have killed them if he had been able to catch up to him.

The news story I saw about this basically said the prosecutors were grasping for anything they could think of to charge these assholes with.

Abuse of 911?  Disorderly conduct?  I dunno.   I'm not a lawyer...or a prosecutor

They most certainly are packing heat. Just a bit of background:

I left my career and bought a house across the street from my Dad after his last stroke. I grew up here. We live on a private road (which just means the adjacent property owners own it and maintain it) and it is one way. The road is watched constantly by retirees who have nothing better to do and are all highly armed. We've never had a theft or a crime up our way. You'd be super-f*cked trying to break in or something up here - the old geezers are all over it.

That's messed up.  And you know what?  That is exactly why males will avoid any contact whatsoever with a child.  "Sorry, can't help you."

A few years ago, a young girl knocked on my co-workers front door because her stupid farking mom of the year told her to walk to school during a blizzard and she was maybe 8 years old and freezing her ass off and the snowbanks were taller than she was.

My first reaction was "You let her in your house?  How are you not under suspicion of being a pedophile?"

2nd reaction was how the fark does someone's mother not at least walk her 8 year old daughter to school when the weather gets so bad.

The only explanations I could come up with involved alcohol or meth.

That sounds well protected, but kind of creepy.

I'm sure many of my neighbors have guns.  They just don't sit on their porches all day waiting for something to happen so they can use them.
