I guess Jesus forgave the trees as well.  The last time he spent time with wood, it didn't end well for him.

And the tree came back to life in the Spring, too

/it's a f*ckin' miracle, I tells ya

Jesus Christ is everywhere during Holy Week, but one Orlando woman thought she was going crazy when she saw his image in the bark of a dead tree in her front yard.

Always go with your first gut instinct.

He started it.  Didn't you hear what he did to that fig tree that "disobeyed" him?

Why do people always assume these random face like visages are Jesus? Why doesn't anyone ever see elvis on their toast or scorched into their walls?

2014-04-19 10:18:33 PM
Thank you, LORD, for letting us sinners behold another beatific apparition of your countenance as we wait in joyful hope for your second coming. It's these images that allow those with diminished faith to know that you are truly the King of Kings.

Jesus was seen on a bus station wall once, but it turned out to be a painted-over posted of Willie Nelson.

Why can't we have a real miracle? Such as all the billionaires of the world start paying people enough to live on, along with full health and a retirement pension. Or how about Rural Republicans stop being afraid of things they don't understand and vote for things that helps them instead of voting against their own interests. Maybe we can have a miracle where hospitals don't overcharge on services and insurance companies don't try to cheat people in any legal way they can. In short, can we have a miracle where humans can start acting in a humane manner towards each other that doesn't include greed?

Is this like where if you stare at the image long enough you can see the sailboat?

The loopier Xtians always talk about how the Devil works to trick people, so I'm surprised they don't conclude it's a picture of Satan put there to fool them.

I guess the Jebus freaks are in full force this week. Looks like on ABC, they're showing "The Greatest Bullshiat Story ever told" or some such rot.
My son asked about "Good" Friday, and my wife said is it's the day Jebus was crucified, I added, he probably had a rent controlled apartment, and they wanted it.

I certainly hope not.  The dog probably wouldn't like it, and it might be illegal in your state.

People see faces in woodgrain, bunnies in clouds, and we think nothing of it. It's a funny coincidence, an artifact of the brains mechanics.

But as soon as someone thinks it looks like a religious figure or symbol, people think it means something significant and that it's newsworthy.

It's really infuriating how absent of self awareness some people are. If it looked like a cat, or an airplane, you'd shrug it off and forget about it. But since you think it looks like Jesus, you think it's newsworthy and a sign from God? You literally think God is speaking to you through vague, iconic images? Kind of a step down from the talking burning bush, don't you think? God has gotten farking lazy, I guess. Or maybe it's just that you're a twat who doesn't deserve to be operating the fine machine that is the human brain.

I may be in a foul mood from a migraine.

ummmm, I don't even see anything that could remotely look like "jesus" or even a face or a silhouette of a person.  All I see is a tree trunk.  At least all the other ones I could make "something" out.  Lame attention whore attempt on Easter weekend.  Try harder!

I hope the migraine gets better bro. My wife had them for years, turned 40 and they stopped. She would even have to take this pill (taken.... non-traditionally) that would knock her out for the whole day. Awful pain. Anyways, I'd hope you'd let go of your anger towards Christians. There are 2.2 billion of us, and yes, some are as*holes. What can you do? It's huge. Anyway, best wishes on that headache - I know they are terrible, and get well soon!
