Theres an excellent documentary about Levon on netflix.  Being a metal head and hip hop lover, I just plain was never introduced to "the band".  I found the documentary, and levon in particular to be such a cool guy.  Just someone who loved music.  Its a must watch.

Levon was aces. I can't think of anybody else from a band with that kind of history who would come on down to the local farm stand every October with his band, and play a free two-hour set (with Donald Fagen on keys) while people were setting off pumpkin cannons out back.
