Nice of them to mention Rod Blagojevich, who got sent to prison because of this guy.

Of course, they didn't mention the other famous Chicago politician he was tied to...

So, it's official.  Everybody is playing gotcha and trying to f*ck the chicken before they get gotcha'd.  I wonder why there's no money moving around.

rnatalie: Chicago likes corruption.

Unfortunately, it's true.  Democrat and Republican doesn't really always correlate with left and right in this state the way it did in the last two I've lived in (MI and PA).  The current GOP candidate for governor is a good friend of our Democratic mayor and both have pretty much identical policy positions. With the rise of the Tea Party downstate, you see a little more left v right between the parties, but really this state is more about "Machine vs Non-machine", or "Madigan-loyal vs Non-Madigan-loyal."

Plus, the amount of race-baiting that occurs in the city is unreal once you start to look at it, both from white and minority pols.

Yeah, this is hardly news.  In the last presidential election we had an exploitative corporate raider that wore magic underwear, was just unbelievably douchey in every respect and just generally a malignant piece of shiat that should die in a fire, his opponent was from Chicago.  This being a draw, I saw no reason to vote for president, and just did my usual no confidence vote for what ever cop was on there and voted to fire every judge on the ballot.

Remember the motto: "Public service is a license to steal."

/but never steal directly, that's for goofs
//nothing gets approved, signed, or supported without a deal
///people should know who to give the money to so it finds its way to the right guy, me

Ah, the Windy City...

Where the dead vote, the aldermans are bought like prostitutes, and the prostitutes are too ethical for high office...
