Everyone needs to think of the mass effect that child felt. This man had a real knack for killing, no more painkiller for him. It's maddening that people like this stay alive.

You remeber in the 19th century when scientists were doing all kinds of bio-metric measurements  convinced there was such a thing as a "criminal physiognomy" that based on certain features  you could basically tell somebody was gonna turn out bad just by looking at them?

Yeah, I know most of it was racist bunk, but looking at this guy's booking photo you have to sometimes wonder if there was just a little "there" there in those theories.  Look at this guy, he just LOOKS like a ne'er-do-well.  There's something about his face, especially the chin, just screams "perp" to me

I have a 3yo and 5mo. We like to play video games, but come the fark on. As soon as my kid wakes up and is like "Mommy, drink please?" I am ditching that game so fast, I don't care if our team is winning.

The only justice in this is that the one thing that inmates hate more than deadbeat dads is child killers/molesters. Bonus:  This guy is both!

Hope's he has fun suffering for the rest of his shiat, shiat, shiatty shiat life. He will now be a literal dickbag.

Because People in power are Stupid: This would never happen with chess.

Oh, I don't know. Depends if it was earlier or later in the chess player's career. A lot of them go mad or slightly "off" in their later years. Steinitz had a vicious temper and when he went mad he used to walk around in his yard attempting to contact everyone he knew (and god) with his "wireless phone" and his force of will - in 1899. Nimzowitsch eventually believed everyone was served more food than him and that "they" were out to get him. Morphy went mad and spent his last days wandering the streets of New Orleans, avoid "them" and talking to people no one else could see. Rubinstein used to crawl out of his house via windows when guests would stay too long. Alekhine was an alcoholic paranoid who was afraid of everyone and would piss himself during games; I think there were a few incidents that ended in him literally chewing the carpet as well. Ivanchuk is so weird that even other grandmasters think he is strange, and Illyumzhinov thinks he was abducted by aliens.

And I won't even get into the saga of Sam Sloan Haji Mohammed Ismail Sloan, who not only makes incredibly bad life decisions, but also aired them in front of the entire USCF in 06-07 when he was campaigning for a USCF board position. (to be fair Sloan served jail time because he loved his child, not because he wanted to murder her).

Just saying - at a high level chess is not known for its stable personalities.

Wow, I've forgotten about this guy.  You know the beer ads with "The Most Interesting Man in the World"?  Yeah, he qualifies.  Of course he's quite kooky, but his stories on his webpage are great.  Let's see...even though he's not a lawyer and had no formal legal training, he argued a case before the Supreme Court and won 9-0.  He escaped from a prison in Afghanistan.  Just read it...

That was one of the toughest things I've ever seen on TV. Made the room very, very dusty.

Anyway, this guy needs life in prison - with a permanent ban on playing games while behind bars. I wouldn't even let him watch the other inmates play.

I think you just handed me the nugget of a short story about Time travelers from ta future where  fighting some sort of interstellar conflict and being in desperate need of highly analytical mind to interface and direct a master computer for a remotely piloted battle fleet.   And one that perhaps owing to the non-relativistic nature of hyperspace where the battles are fought, always ends up  driving the users mad if they plug in for too long,
