3,800 drachma was a relatively small amount of money

And so it was until the end of the drachma.

You know, now that they have perfected the cold water process, whole bean decaf is available, and it's excellent - nothing like that Sanka crap. You should try some.

3,800 drachmas.  A fair amount of change.

The ancient Athenian Drachma was @ 4.3 grams of Silver.  This makes the pay-out equal to just over 525 troy ounces of Silver, at a current value of $10,000.  Given that, in that era, a Drachma was the daily wage for a skilled worker, this is well over 10 years wages for a skilled adult worker, or probably closer to a half million or so in today's dollars.

Not bad.

The couldn't pull the tights. No foot on the ropes. MAYBE there was a distraction finish.

Actually, I'm now picturing an ancient Dusty Rhodes talking about how the conspirators put HARD TIMES on him, but he'll see them at Philippi.

The whole thing happened in Egypt though, and he's Greek. I'm sure a fair bit went into paying travel expenses.

Wrestling is shown on SyFy.

Therefore wrestling is science fiction

Science fiction is frequently featured on the Geek tab.

Therefore the article is correctly categorized.
