I'm assuming the Pizza Cake option on the customer poll was "Mash your too-fat-to-dial fingers on the keypad for Pizza Cake, or send in a receipt for the purchase of a Hoverround"

That made my stomach turn. The crust looks quite inedible.

Can anyone tell me what the round brown topping is? I can make out the pepperoni and the ham/c. Bacon but the brown disc one is unfamiliar to me.

Eh, the ingredients aren't too bad, but you'd better be really hungry indeed to eat a 'slice'.  Or just call it a wedge.

I'm guessing sausage, but from a sliced up tube sausage.

fusillade762: I'm not even sure how you would get that to cook all the way through.

I'm not sure, but just from looking at the layers, I don't think they cooked it all together.

It almost looks like the big crust is cooked like a taco shell bowl, then they put precooked/preheated stuff inside it in layers, turned it over and put the other pizza stuff on the very top of the bowl.

Then stick in the oven for probably 20 minutes to get everything to melt a bit more.

that was my first thought

IF it's cooked thoroughly, no doughy bread, i'm sure it would taste ok...even the worst pizza i've ever had tasted reasonably edible...but what's the point? just a silly gimmick to get attention.

There's a reason pizza is usually cooked for a short time in an extremely hot oven. Even Chicago pizzas are adadpted to this by having special pans that are oiled and saucing the pizza only after it's out of the oven. There's just no way this thing isn't an awful combination of rubbery and tough in certain parts while being soggy in others.

You should still give their Black IPA a try. It does share characteristics with stouts, with the dark malt and all. I personally think it is like an Imperial stout with just a touch more hops than an Imperial. It runs about 8-9% ABV.

Unfortunaltely you're in FW, so I'll just have to run down and have one for you :-P
