Isn't 5 mil on Park Ave considered super poor?  Doesn't apartments there cost in the 10s of millions?

That too, by all means.  I'm just really unbelieving that some men are so desperate that they would pay a service that much for "dates".  I mean, it's just hookers with less chance of disease.  And the one running the show dragging in that cash has a working business model apparently, which is also mind-blowing.

I worked with a girl that I didnt think was a gold digger but had a checklist of traits the man she was going to marry had to have. It was the most unrealistic Disney princess list I ever heard. If any guy had all the traits she listed he would have been snatched up years ago. She was a 5 maybe a 6 when she caked on the makeup which made her list seem more unrealistic.

Right..  does he pull the Joe Dirt "having a new footprint pedal installed in my Hemi" line when he picks up his date in a beater and takes her to dinner at the Golden Corral?  ..or maybe he's ponying up a month's car-washer wages to impress her for the eve?  then who's the sucker?  or perhaps he's feeding you a line of shiat and you're relaying his awesome exploits without realizing you've been duped.  food for thought

I once worked with a girl who described herself as a Jewish American Princess.  She made no bones about being a virgin and said that was going to get her "a honking big rock of a wedding ring, new benzes every year and a house."  Her confidence that this would occur as sure as the sun would rise in the east was laudable.  As a gentile, I stood no chance she said, "no offense, ok?"

/Phew, dodged that bullet.

yup.

but, here are some real life indications (male or female):

- he/she asks what you do within the first 5 minutes of meeting, and it's not a professional setting
- he/she casually talks about expensive stuff like it's obligatory, necessary, or inherently important. (it's ok to have expensive stuff, to like it or appreciate it.  but, normal humans don't talk about it like it matters to anyone else)
- he/she appears to care a lot about the opinions of others
- he/she is an asshole to the help (waiters, retail clerks, cab drivers, any one in a service industry)
- he/she feels entitled to stuff.

How to avoid a gold digger: don't throw money around and act like a big shot with every woman you meet. Understand that getting your penis into a vagina, any vagina should not the the be-all end-all of your existence. Gold diggers seek out desperate men with money and then pussy-whip them. Back when I was dating, if a woman ever asked me how much money I made, it was the last date.

I agree with most, but the first one is a pretty common question whenever ANY two people meet. Work is a big part of life, so knowing what someone chooses to do all day tells you a bit about them.

It's $1000 for a one-on-one meeting with the matchmaker, but how much does it cost to get into an advertorial that proclaims you "Not a gold-digger" to the target audience?

I need a gold digger.  But she has to bring along her own waders and dredge.
