When they finally (if ever) release the source to Aldus SuperPaint, I will be a happy camper.  Why is it so hard to find a good pixel editor?

Now we just need the source code for slideshows, so we can ban it forever.

Maybe we could patent-troll on it, then sue anyone trying to use it?

Here's one that isn't well known: the Japanese game Beatmania 5th Mix for PlayStation 1.  Some rogue programmer for Konami put the source code to Beatmania 5th Mix onto the master for Beatmania Best Hits.  If you have the original release of this game, as opposed to the "The Best" rerelease (now there's a confusing name), you have the 5th Mix source code.

PS1 games had to have dummy data files on the final 3 minutes of the disk for laser reliability reasons.  These dummy files were typically all zeros, but some Konami programmer who likely got fired bundled up the 5th Mix source code into an LZH file, renamed it "DUMMY", and put it onto the Best Hits master.  Yes, you can compile and run it with the right tools--I've gotten it to work. =)

A much more famous abuse of the PS1 dummy file was the South Park episode embedded onto the American release of Tiger Woods '99: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqelAHCLUM8

I've used every piece of software on that list.
Except Apollo & APL...And I didn't use the first versions of Apple and MSDOS...but soon when first on the market.
But you get my point...

Makes me feel old.
My first database was dBase II in '83
I wonder if that's out there too?

I think it would be fun to get WinWord 1.1a to run on modern Windows just to be funny.
