I wonder if the guy knew how big a crime he just committed? Armed robbery of the key is pretty much just as bad as being caught carrying multiple kilos of cocaine. Hell, it has the same potential sentence as robbing a bank.

The one and only time I ever saw an FBI agent in my small town was when the post office was robbed.  This is a very small building and they stole something like $80 but federal building so FBI jurisdiction.
