He made his debut on TV two years ago as "Snake Man of Appalachia" on Animal Planet, but Tuesday Verlin Short Snort hit TV screens for something else.

Shiat, I thought this was the guy who got killed by his snakes. Oh well, my Raylan pic is still relevant, but the caption is wrong.

From TFA comments:

Morey SoffoOdd. Usually when a Christian minister is arrested for snake-handling, it involves a 12-yr-old boy's foreskin. That this one was just trafficking drugs makes him seem almost moral.

Considering that at least half of law enforcement officers in Appalachia are themselves selling it/using it, this is no surprise.

/and the other half are just turning a blind eye to it

Wonder what this same snake-handling minister has said (for the record of course) related to the legalization of weed?

Just let me guess.

Considering that he most likely got busted for selling the pills he probably got with goverment assistance to someone else, his thoughts on socialized medicine might be germane to the conversation at hand.

Was this the guy who got busted for illegally trapping snakes, because he let a TV show film him illegally trapping snakes?

That was my first thought too.

It's unbelievable that so many people think being religious is necessary to be moral, when really they're two entirely separate things. Then again, in the information age it's unbelievable to me that so many people are still religious at all.

So a guy turned out be a huge dealer of illegal drugs.
Fark Dopeheads: "STOP THE DRUG WAR!!1!"
But they were illegal prescription drugs.

The better question is who here isn't farking selling. They closed most of the shady pain clinics after passing a bill and now heroin is showing up. I dunno I'd rather deal with pill heads than people shooting up and throwing dirty needles where ever they please.
