Why did the hipster burn his tongue?

Because he drank his coffee before it was cool.

/Thank you, I'd be here all night.

I'm 7th level vegan.
I don't eat food that casts a shadow.

But go ahead and enjoy your bread, murderer.

I run my own farm and plant my own wheat by hand. Then I purchased a millstone from a family of quarry workers who have owned the local quarry for seven generations, and milled my own flour. Only after that, do I bake my own bread. None of y'all know what good bread is.

WordyGrrl: LazyMedia: jshine: What exactly does "steel cut" oats mean?  Are oats that are cut with a steel blade somehow healthier than if the blade were made of -- say -- titanium?  ...and wouldn't steel be the default material to make industrial cutting equipment out of anyway, given that it's far cheaper than almost any other competing material?

Steel cut oats are different from rolled oats. That's your choices. Rolled oats cook really fast (that's what Americans think of when they think oatmeal). Steel cut oats take much longer to cook; that's what Scottish porridge is made from. Very different texture.

/I've tried steel cut oats; not enough better than regular rolled oats to justify the extra time.

I only eat obsidian cut oats. It's the Mayan way, and the resulting gas gives me more power over my Aztec enemies.

Not to mention, when you eat oatmeal cut with dragonglass, your farts will kill white walkers.

JoieD'Zen: Some people have to put labels on things or categorize them in order to understand them. Idiots.

If we didn't put labels on things or categorize them, everything would be filed under "miscellaneous". Just sayin'.

According to this article, if you stick some whole grains on the oustside of your bread, it makes it healthy. I think i'll try this on some cinnabons.

Bread does not make you fat. Being lazy makes you fat.

A pair of sneakers and 30 minutes a day.

OK, I'm waiting.  And then what?

I offer the last 6000 years of civilization as a refutation of his premise. Grain is pretty much why we have learning to begin with, and without it we'd be squatting in caves wondering what monster tried to eat the moon last night.

My bread has so much whole grain it's just chunks of wheat plants pressed together.
