Should have gone to PSH.

It's an MTV Award; who cares? The Grammys are more meaningful than those.

This is a guy who claimed it was a good day when he didn't have to use an AK-47.  Not winning an MTV award should be the least of his worries.

/In all seriousness, kudos to the guy who escaped poverty to become a multimillionaire and has raised four kids with his wife of 22 years.

<i>"So I would never diss the actors who won. Not even Paul Walker."</i>

Doesn't the phrasing of this imply that "not even someone like Paul Walker deserves my diss"?   Isn't this still a dig against Walker?

Paul Walker was a terrible actor, may he rest in peace.  Have you seen Bobby Z?  If not, please, don't subject yourself to that terrible movie.

That being said, Ice Cube isn't exactly a world renowned thespian either.  But he looks mean, so he gets a pass from me.

FTA: "We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated," Ice continued...

This is why awards for art doesn't really work, equating it with sports...
Acting your hardest, as if it was a matter of physical exertion that can be quantified and awarded.

But as far as Musician-turned-Actors go, Ice Cube is basically the best one since the Classic Hollywood Era. Will Smith is a better actor, and Ice T is a better rapper, but Ice Cube is right in the middle and 3 Kings kicked ass.

Paul Walker was...present...for filming in everything he was ever in.

I saw the director of that give a talk a month or so ago...I find John Herzfeld's stuff is interesting

As soon as it popped on the screen, I did.

Come on, how often does the dead person lose when they are nominated for awards?

I don't know about all that, but I respect him a lot more then Will Smith and Ice T.  I like how he has matured and succeeded despite his lifestyle and views.  I never thought his views would resonate with the mainstream, but there it is.  Will Smith seems a bit arrogant, although that could just be how the media portrays him and his wife (also scientology links disappoint me).  Ice T just seems to revel is his position a bit too much. He used to rebel against the system, but now he seems to have bought all in (also talking to people about Ice T always brings up the question 'He was a rapper???')

" Ice T is a better rapper,  "

Yeah......I'm going to to need you to shut your mouth and listen to some of their music. it is fairly easy to make a case for Cube the be one of the best rappers of all time. Ice T couldn't carry his jock in a suitcase.

I have to agree on Ice Cube over T or Will Smif, no question.

Pretty sure that was an homage to Kurt Russell being old.

BizarreMan: Come on, how often does the dead person lose when they are nominated for awards?

At least with the Oscars for Acting, it's only happened twice. Peter Finch and Heath Ledger.

Although a strong case could be made that both of them won on the sympathy vote.

Will Smith and Ice T have never been in a film that was anywhere near as entertaining as Friday. Will Smith and Ice T have never recorded a track anywhere near as badass as Ghetto Vet.

And Paul Walker is a pile of ashes who never could act.

It's pretty obvious that the author of TFA wants to slam Ice Cube. "The 'Friday After Next' star?" Seriously? Ice Cube has been in Boyz N the Hood, Three Kings, and the original "Friday," and the author thinks people will know him best by "Friday After Next?"

On a related note, rumors that "DaVinci Code" and "Larry Crowne" star Tom Hanks has scabies have turned out to be largely unfounded.
